My understanding is that funds like Premier Miton can’t have more than 5% of the value of the fund in one share. So as the price increases disproportionately to other shares in their fund they will have to sell. So I’m some respects this might not stop as we go up unless they continue to sell now before it does and get the % right down. You could look as it as a good thing.

Yesterday’s vaccine debate was useful ‘deramp’ as we discussed in an intelligent manner. A deramp of not enough PR and not being the first to market etc is just a deramp for the unresearched investors. Is this the same person comparing it to VHS v Beta? There is no comparison here. This doesn’t require capital purchases for machines. If it is cost effective and s&s is fit for purpose this LFT test will sell... even BAMS won’t require capital investment for new machines. Of course any news will cause fluctuations of SP - if that is a problem for you then get out of shares! Put your money under your mattress.

I am not Anti-Vax at all - the MMR scandal was bad and totally discredited research. We have paid for the chicken pox vaccine and men-b vaccine before it was included. Unfortunately as a parent, there is a huge burden of doing the right thing for your child. This creates a dilemma. Would you vaccinate your child with a new vaccine for a disease that rarely causes serious complications? I don't think I would. Given it is unproven and effects are not fully understood, I wouldn't. Nor would I have both of us take the vaccine - possibly one of us to reduce risk as we have children to look after. So it isn't just the anti-vax'ers that will be wary.

I should add - I really like this debate and not displeased it was raised... just in case any offence is taken about my fear mongering comment. This is healthy discussion. I dislike ramps of SP quote of £10 and £50 as well. Oh well!

Doh85 - yes that is another good point. How does having had a vaccine preclude being tested. The point of testing is to prove it won't spread to others. Having had a unproven vaccine won't negate the need for testing. Particularly if the virus mutates and potentially the vaccine is less effective. You can still get chicken pox after a pox vaccine and be contagious. I am not an expert in this field, so open to counter views on this new type of vaccine that has never been approved before.

I think what I don't like here is the conclusion that because Trump is desperate to win an election that he will go unchallenged in rolling out a vaccine and testing won't be necessary any more. For so many reasons, that is just not very well researched fear mongering. Again I'm not saying that AIM and the SP won't be affecting even if just temporarily, I just don't think it affects the target market and sales the way it is being presented.

Oxygen - that is very true. Just look at what happened to Purdue and Oxycodone. If I were a pharma CEO - I would want that underwritten by the government. That would have to go through HoR and Senate, unless Trump envokes some kind of emergency loophole. I wouldn't put it past him, but certain it wouldn't go unchallenged.

Sparta, I am not necessarily disagreeing with you. Everything we see on media/tv will have slant, but it is by taking in all viewpoints that you can stand back and see the bigger picture. The poverty one I was referring to is on youtube not netflix - it may have been on Prime. I'm not discussing the merits of the content, but what is important to understand is the people interviewed and their perspective. I did a lot of research academically on America and the Constitution - and what many people don't realise is that there is a great divide in America with regards to wealth, nationalism, political sides - and they don't exactly go in hand in hand in the way that you might expect. Whilst the election is important, and it will trigger a lot unrest the fundamental principles of the US government is that the federal government has a lot less say over the people than the states have. So whilst the federally controlled FDA could approve a vaccine, take up would be equally divided and I think enforced take up would be out of the question. What you see here this side of the pond is often taken from a perspective of how things work here, and my point is that America is a complex beast and it won't be as simple as Trump pushing through a vaccine. I'm not disagreeing that there won't be an impact on market sentiment - exactly for the reasons listed above. However, OUR market is not just the USA - and I think that will prevail and sales will prove that.

Btw - for clarity I’m in the UK - family scattered all over the world Including Europe NZ Oz. I spent 18 formative years in the US with some family still residing in the infamous Portland.

Sparta10... I’m not predicting who will win. I’m predicting civil unrest! There are a great many American voters who are likely to vote for Trump. I urge you to watch poverty in America a documentary I think on Netflix. It really can give some insight into how Trump was elected. On the other side there is a huge anti trump sentiment building. This is not unlike the Vietnam protests - possibly worse. Watch the Vietnam Netflix documentary for some insight into the American public and those in power. It hasn’t change much - apart from Trump being overt. There is a lot of civil unrest that is going to really ramp up.

I know I sound like a broken record. Make the tests - they will be bought. That is why manufacturing announcements prior to and during clinical validation is so important. Got to hit the ground running!

With respect - have you lived in America? Don’t underestimate the media during an election. It will be brutal. It makes elections here seem well planned and civilised. What gets reported here is tame. Every commercial break is littered with propaganda. It will be the great divide and is leading to massive civil unrest. No doubt market sentiment is fickle and what you say about AIM is true but I do think that tests that are made will be bought. No problem. There is a lot of lucky people on this planet that DON’T live in the USA. A Massive market - which is exactly why I’m not so concerned about relying on the US market.

So Trump is a very dangerous individual-IMO there is very little to differentiate him from Putin. he didn’t get the popular vote in America in 2016 and his record now is proven. The Electoral College could still potentially give him a win despite this - however the hatred of Trump is pretty high. Would you take a vaccine he rushed through if you were in this group Of trump haters? I know I certainly wouldn’t let my child who is low risk of serious infection be a guinea pig on this type of vaccine that has never been approved in humans before. If they tried to enforce vaccination the streets will be filled with a whole new set of protesters! I’m not saying the SP wouldn’t be affected by the sentiment but I do think that sales will still be very high and that will support a massive bump when announced.

If that were the case then why would two manufacturers be signed up. They could be guaranteed x amount regardless but I suspect they have signed NDA agreements and have been given some preliminary figures to secure the agreement.
