Absolutely agree with that James. SP prediction On AIM is rampy and no one should invest based on it. RKs research is useful if a bit repetitive (but obviously helpful for new investors) and I’d prefer it without the massive SP hype. But no one should blindly invest based on BB posts.

Just checked out NI’s post history. Clearly has other accounts on LSE and perhaps a grudge over being down on BMN? Is RK really to blame? If I sell up Tuesday and the RNS break and it goes to £5 should I blame Novice? Seriously just make your own investment decisions and DYOR.
It can be difficult to distinguish between a investor supporting a company and trader ramping and equally in this case deramping. I kind of think that investors just need to reread some of the recent RNS’s and decide if patience might reward in the Short to Medium and Long term. It isn’t a race - an entire planet for a market. A sh*tty test could cause harm to health and SP!

PL75 that is a bit of an unnecessary comment. I think Rich was just trying to get across why Avacta became a personal investment. Whilst you may imply that it is to ward of criticism - I doubt he really cares about criticism. When faced with life and death (yourself or loved one) I think perspective changes and what is important changes. For me RK and Ophidian have provided lots of research and I can take or leave it as I choose. I make my own investment decisions as I hope all do. We can all criticise other posters all we like- but as long as they provide valuable input (Positive or negative) then it is a positive contribution to the board. Kindergarten slander of companies like I saw last night from Ethio is pointless and makes the board unreadable so let’s not go down that road with posters as well.

RichKen - so you mean doubling your shares? I would imagine that the SP could take a tumble this next week if no update - given that it is AIM and there will be some nervous investors. I suppose that would give some great opportunities to buying in the dips. This whole Heathrow testing thing feels way over hyped. It is probably more important about trialling the process of testing as there would be a lot of considerations about how to managed the movement of passengers through the airport etc. If another product was available that produced better results in a similar amount of time then I’m certain that Cost and availability would trump (sorry) other tests. It is not a race to create the first rapid test ... again this isn’t VHS vs Beta. I’m happy that Avacta are being assess in the Official Condor and LSTM. I would be curious/concerned about the validity of S&S results from a live deployment trial rather than clinical trials? No? Wouldn’t it be more difficult to determine outcomes? Granted we haven’t got full details of these Heathrow Trials.

Correct me if aim wrong - you can put as many shares as you like in fantasy trading?? If so then I have 1m shares total ( across my trading/isa/SIPP but mostly in my fabtastic fantasy trading account that I traded following Global’s lead). This is in no way comparable to Betamax v VHS. Those were machines - ie requires capital purchases. You might be able to better compare VHS/BETAMAX with lab tests but labs and hospitals have both ‘VHS’ and ‘BETA’ machines - so it falls down there too. If you think there isn’t room for multiple products in this GLOBAL pandemic then please just sell and STFU.

I know this is common sense to many long term investors but for anyone newer to investing beware of those deramping or ramping a stock (here or anywhere) particularly where deramping and their only posts are on only one share board. They probably set up accounts for each share.
Either they are trying to push the Share Price Down so they can buy in cheaper or they are being paid directly to deramp. They get paid per post and per reply. Think about it... why on earth would you go onto a share BB and use your PRECIOUS time to deramp a share. There has to be a financial motive. Filter and their posts end up as Green Boxes. Just do your own research and try to get a balanced view before investing or selling. Good Luck All Real Investors.

The market sentiment will cause the SP to fluctuate, but regardless there will be a huge market for Avacta even if another company announces sale of a similar product before Avacta. And just to reiterate, a lot of people here research this to a great depth and have thus far have found NO direct competitors that are further ahead than Avacta. We are in clinical validation and it is important to get those numbers right. Chill the F*** out. PIck up a few more when it dips. Alwayswhining can you please sell - of course assuming you have ever had any actual shares to sell?

Thanks Timster... I've listened to the section onwards and will relisten/watch the whole thing from the beginning again this evening. But I think he said one had reasonable sensitivity and high 90s specificity. I think that is what we are expecting for Avacta, no? I recall Klaus in the webinar in June saying how important specificity was in this pandemic to avoid false negatives running around spreading the virus. I find the science that is being discussed in this link fascinating.

I would have thought that the really dumb Americans wouldn't bother with the test let alone reading some instructions... these are the same people who won't wear a mask because of their 'freedoms' and want to keep their right to bear automatic guns. Let's hope Darwinism might prevail and prevent Trump getting re-elected. Having said all that, if Trump says 'this is the test, the kind of test that I like ... and I said months ago 'I like that Awacta test'' then people will be injecting themselves with the LFT... maybe and then sales are up? Who knows... but fortunately there is a global market here.

because I was getting quotes for a 30 in period on HL between 11:15 and 11:45 and the bid offer spread didn’t match for a long period. At around 11:50 as the price lowered it made more sense. I just wondered if it should indicate a reversal or something . Thanks Trek for your response .

I'm been getting quotes and watching Sharemagazine trades... most of the Sells are actually Buys. Why does this happen - is it something to do with Miton or just MM games?
