If any irritation was underlying it could equally be laid at the door with jumpy investors. Avacta have always been professional and I think we should have trusted our instincts that they would not have shared S&S with Medusa19’s website developer. Regardless Medusa are only a few months into their business model - probably deserve a wee bit of slack. I’m sure some feedback is being filtered through! Chill!

Don’t get your knickers in a twist... it hasn’t been reported by BBC or FT... the medusa site wasn’t widely known about although today’s RNS I suspect it will get some more hits sadly. But given its sparse content no one is going to be given it too much thought. I think also the consensus was that this was only retail distribution- not the bulk of the sales revenue for Avacta.

I doubt it and even if so who cares. Avacta are professionals and they should be irritated at having to provide the clarification.

I’m pleased that the message got through. Hopefully Medusa 19 will put more though into what Is published on their pre launch screen site. Having to issue an RNS over it shouldn’t have been necessary had it been properly described.

Absolutely agree and I think everyone including myself got taken off guard with the lack of clarity over the 2nd test with s&s advertised. It wasn’t clear what it was referring to and yes consensus is that it is unrelated and immaterial. I would say given Al’s carefully guarded comments on market sensitivity to s&s that there might have been more thought and control put into what goes onto websites for any company involved. However there will be new personnel being hired and normal working practices are probably having to be rushed so I guess on the whole it could be understandable given the circumstances. I would hope though that the message over the lack of clarity on that front page gets through ...

looks like they have set up their linkedin under multiple business names and there are two employees attached to one and the rest attached to another... so in actual fact the 3rd is related to me following cytiva I think. It definitely doesn't look particularly well thought out in terms social networking. The PR element probably needs to be running the show and isn't.

So - I've looked at Medusa19 on Linked in. 2 employees are linked... one shows as a 3rd connection for me... I feel like sending a message saying they are looking like a bunch of cowboys with the website, sort it out.

Hilary did not appeal to many for a variety of reasons, but calling her worst quality as being a 'liar' is like calling the vicar's worst quality as 'religious'. The man is ridiculous. Building a wall and self congratulating himself on effectively every failure... he makes our lot look like they made a stellar effort over covid. America did have a choice... and Clinton got the majority vote, but unfortunately out-dated electoral system screwed them over. Their out-dated constitution needs amending... starting with revoking the right to bear arms and adding a right to basic health care. Anyone who thinks there is any justification for any support of Trump needs a moral compass evaluation. My kids are in holiday clubs at present - in bubbles. My eldest picked up a cold last week and came down with it Saturday . I did my own contact tracing and found that a kid who was there on Thursday - his family had all had a cold last week and he too was ill with it. It just shows that even with hand sanitising and being outside all day as they are in this club - how easy it is to spread respiratory viruses. We are in for a hard winter.

There will be a trade off with the sensitivity v specificity as per the webinar. It would be far better to clog up labs initially with confirmation for positive results as isolating nearly all the potential cases would result in less spread and less confirmation samples required! Equally a 14 day isolation would not be the end of the world for a false positive even without confirmation! Especially if it opens up the economy and increases gov revenue and helps pay off debt we are all going to be paying back!

I think the bigger picture is that nobody ELSE really cares (at present) if you have had Covid (jury out on whether it provides immunity despite you thinking if gives you the green light) ... they do care if you have it now so you don’t infect anyone else at work, plane, boat etc.
