So it was always obvious that when I place a limit order with HL that it won’t appear on the order book as HL only execute when the spread hits your price. So what the MM declare on the order book is only what they are willing to buy and sell? I have often seen my buys appear on the sharesmagazine trade data but lately I’ve not seen them. would I be wrong in assuming that some of the buy/sells happen within a broker? So really a ****load of data is missing?

Thanks spike - good question re production capacity. I feel that anything mentioned in HY1 is fair game. Some stuff could easily be dodged, but I think it would be very foolish if they didn't address many of the key questions will have been asked many times over.

-who would be seeking certifications Avacta or Partners Cytiva / Adeptrix
-would a 2nd product with a higher sensitivity be worthwhile in specific applications, and if so how easy would it be to adjust the performance
-assuming that pilot production issues and/or clinical validation are the delay in bringing the product to market, what mitigations are being made to shorten the process to be able to mass produce the final product and do the current agreements with manufacturers BBI and Abingdon ensure that capacity is guaranteed?

Look someone has to pay for it... gov or business or end users or a mix... if gov then there will be higher taxes , if business then higher cost of products . There was always going to be a cost and Tories do not want to raise taxes thus the comment - though I think they will backtrack. Our test will be cheap so I think that might alleviate concerns. As a business owner is happily pay for weekly testing for staff possibly more If circumstances warranted it.

Of the covid shares tracked the same way today. Up or stable first thing and the many dropped through the morning and then picked up a bit and then down a bit more this afternoon - like
A sideways ‘s’. The rest of the market seemed to pick up around noon and then down again... so wondering if some of the movement was MM just tracking the general swing of the market today. I assume they can take the prices up and down for multiple reasons?

You might do better to word the request to not use awacta differently rather than just calling it juvenile.
It was once a bit of an in joke and harmless then, but given a potential influx of new investors it could devalue some of the great research and discussions here to those that might not have been around for the “in” joke and put them off from reading some of the good stuff here.
Some could also argue it is the tip of the iceberg as there is so much ramping and derampimg it is getting more and more difficult to sift through to find the gems. For the sake of trying to promote good research could we call the company Avacta, please? GLA

It would be hard pulling the contract but some pressure to accurately describe their antibody product could be applied. Trading standards could apply pressure. I think this could be a good question to put in for the presentation. The general market /public doesn’t have the in depth knowledge of science to prevent stuff like this from surfacing.

All - we hypothesise daily on the reasons for whatever news item or lack of news item. These questions our are only opportunity to try to get insight or validation for these hypotheses. Forget the derampimg crew... if they inadvertently allow us to ask the right questions then great!

I think the challenging questions are the only thing to instil confidence if answered with enough detail (assuming they are able). This is why I started the thread to see if we could generate some decent questions rather than ****ging each other off. The presentation is for potential investors which includes our very own merchant banker. I’m all up for challenging Al, but poorly thought out questions will get only more uncertainty.

Much better MB - and yes re your 2nd point that is where clever questions will be helpful. I was trying to drive out the uncertainty by potentially asking about the possibility of multiple products for different purposes. Originally minimising false negatives was considered critical prior to the concept of mass testing with lab validation for initial positive results. But I see a market for multiple products and by asking a question regarding the flexibility of the application of affimers the answer might address a few question marks.

calamari - I was on the verge of selling the rights, but after reading through the information again, it became clear that the 88p being referenced here and elsewhere is a provision amt for funds - and when trying to work out if there is a benefit of selling the rights and buying immediately on the market, it isn't quite that simple. You have to take the risk of the FX charges and changes in exchanges into account. If you had sold the rights yesterday and waited until today to buy in, you would clearly have been better off.
