So if AS wanted to buy a house - when Exactly would have been the best time to sell some to raise cash? Never a good time according to this board and that I think is any directors problem. He and his family may have their hearts set on a particular property (most here will recall what that is like) and someone probably advised that he should sell now rather than later as long as no bad news is going to fall. It is most likely as simple as that. I do think OUR problem is that we have invested our hard earned money and seeing market manipulation like the rise into that RNS doesn’t sit well. But we should direct anger appropriately. I’ve put about 25% of my portfolio and have over 150k shares in this but it is a risk/reward balance. It is a hugely researched company and I’ve done a huge amount of knowledge building - the only thing that leaves me unsettled is the lack of news that should be imminent (BAMS and tech transfer) . With my luck I could sell and it would then land the next day. I think would rather risk maybe £100k instead. Everyone’s approach to risk will be different. It would be nice if people would just talk more sensibly and with smells like fish and less ****retorts. Peace...

This is what I mean - there is very few decent high end properties in the area on the market. One listed as STC in Wetherby for over 2.25 looked amazing... could be the one, you never know. It could also have not been listed. The fact there is so little out there that would be worthwhile means that he probably felt he had to snap it up.

lol... did you find something special? - I'm assuming it must be STC - If it is - I can't blame him. I think if I found something with amazing views close to work it would have made all the hard work worth it....

large trade at 17:35 yesterday at 181.15. The rest must have been sold at 179.04-ish for the average to tally - and that price was going through first thing this morning.

There could equally be another view on this. He wants to buy dream home - once in a lifetime home suddenly on the market - one that he plans to live out retirement in. Hasn’t got the funds in the bank for deposit - Banks require probably 40% deposit on properties at the higher end of the market given that if Covid causes a housing price collapse Banks will suffer as a lot of their assets are sitting in property prices (have you seen the bank shares prices?). I doubt an underwriter would be able to place value on his other Avacta shares as collateral. Perhaps he had no other option to raise funds and in the grander scheme of things the loss of potential income is pointless given the potent value he still has left.

I do think there are a number of OTHER positive indicators eg those who have large stakes (including all the staff share options) not to mention the other partners at risk eg manufacturing partners etc would indicate this is doable. I’m sure AS was advised on possible market interpretation and impact and I agree the timing kind of sucks... especially with BAMS RNS imminent and all the questions from presentation not yet answered etc... BUT he would be probably lose a HUGE amount more than he has gained today if there was an increased likelihood of bad news. So in that respect I agree with other researched investors. Bottom line if he needed funds for personal reasons I feel that it may be very unfair of PIs to string him up as the ability for Avacta to deliver HAS to be unchanged otherwise it would be insider trading.

So in theory a saline solution could be used to loosen up the saliva and allow it to flow properly. That doesn’t sound so difficult for a lay person though for a small child it could be difficult to get them not to swallow. Is the idea that you collect the saliva with the saline?

This is really interesting- I assume that part of the instruction will be to have x amount of water x hours prior to testing so avoid dehydration?

I think Cyril is clever but hoping your titanic farce post isn’t read that he is at the helm of a sinking ship... in fact I think the world is Titanic and Cyril is at the helm of a massive but a tad slow moving aircraft carrier (are they really THAT slow though?) to take the passengers to their final destination- though I wouldn’t recommend a destination of America... maybe he can divert them to Canada.

Even if you have a vaccine you wouldn’t know if it is still working and others wouldn’t trust that you had a vaccine nor that it might still be working. Testing would be the only way to ensure it wasn’t spread in offices/airports/cruises/events.

Thank you Myles for sharing your research. It is appreciated. Unfortunately when you put yourself out there publicly then you are subjected to criticism from the masses- of course you have every right to buy and sell as you see fit and sharing that information as to your buys and sells is fair but equally can impact sentiment and ultimately breed resentment. There is a huge amount of bullying (even if it may come from a supportive place) and excessive ramping and deramping and it is making the board unreadable and juvenile and will drive new investors and researchers away. I appreciate all the research you and others have done but please refer to the negativity if everyone just ignores it and/or reports it then I’m sure it will settle down.

Cheers will check that out - but I would point out that Dr Hilary Jones was one of the people that an anti-masker used to justify her claims that masks harm your health... and maybe he had partially valid points but bear in mind he is an ITV 'health expert' - not exactly at the heart of leading scientific studies on Covid. I think it is very wrong for individuals (medical or scientists) to make sweeping statements in these times as some people will interpret exactly how they want to. We all hope that we find a way to tackle this virus - and what is painfully clear is that there is so much conflicting information and lack of clear strategy that we are very much in danger of being headless chickens. Some leadership from PHE and the government would be more than welcome!

So you want someone to do your own homework? That sounds a bit dangerous. I do think you need to investigate what makes Avacta unique - as that is the biggest reason to invest. From a unresearched point of view - Having started investing back in April - I'm in NCYT up 210%. - about 4% capital of my covid shares, 2% in SNG up 110% and 2% ODX up 80%, Rest in Avacta up 15% - I started investing at 57p so it has obviously already shot up. However, Avacta obviously is on the verge of something big. This is the most researched BB on LSE but everything has been discuss to death - so you will need to troll back through the threads. I would suggest using this link to Avacta's presentation on the 28th June and making your own mind up.

in the presentation on the 28th - he definitely referred to the problems around lack of samples but 'that it shouldn't be much longer'
