But CyanConnode and Partners know the areas that they want to develope and who they want to develope them with. And CyanConnode also have a range of Partners, of various sizes with various areas of expertise, that they are working with to achieve that.

I think we discussed the " 4G " subject on the bb recently. And CyanConnode did launch, as you are probably aware, their Cellular Metering Products, during March 2020, where it mentions that " To meet a range of market requirements, the products are available available in all regions and bands, and support all the 2G, 3G, 4G and emerging 5G standards, including NB-IoT and Cat-M1 Cellular technologies."

So the support and products seem to be available, from CyanConnode, but as with most things, you have to be able to find a contract with the appropriate budget that applies to the product and services you are providing.

Personally, I do not know. CyanConnode have not mentioned anything on this particular project, so until that happens we will just have to wait.

But this project was mentioned on ADVFN yesterday, so it is causing some interest. Is it an EESL project, do you know?

But an interesting project/concept in any case, having re-chargeable electric meters.

.... in December 2017, issued a tender for 10 million prepaid electricity meters in Uttar Pradesh and in October 2017, ITI Limited were the lowest bidder to install 5 million meters across Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

It is intesting that even in 2017/2018, there was what was referred to as a " ..... performance gaurantee will be equivalent to 10% of the contract cost and will be locked in for a seven year period."

Which is what CyanConnode probably refere to as a maintenance contract/agreement.

I will answer your question on a CyanConnode thread, as it is CyanConnode I want to talk about.

8/10 years ago, in India, there was no RF technology market being considered, for smart meters. It was mainly cellular, as was evident with the early EESL 5/10/5 million electric meter tenders, that were the main volume tenders at that time. Around 2017, I seem to remember.

Cyan's first major tender was for Tamil Nadu, which was " lodged," as share-holders will remember, with the later project for Tata Power, in Mumbai, following in 2014, being the first after Tamil Nadu and the project for CESC Mysore following in 2015. Both were IPv4 projects.

Connode was purchased by Cyan, joining together to form CyanConnode and IPv6 projects followed, including Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, 2 projects in Indore, 2 projects in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Assam in 2022.

At this point, from no RF requirement to speak of in India, initially, CyanConnode and Partner's have managed 20%+ of the installed smart meter base, in India, connected by/to CyanConnode RF technology.

I take the most satisfaction from the Tamil Nadu contract, above all the others, even though it is not the largest, for probably obvious reasons.

So, 20%+ of the installed smart electricity meter base in India, from a standing start, against I would think, local/global competition, will do very nicely.

But I am sure that CyanConnode and Partners will not rest on their past achievements.

But in answer to your question directly, the 20%+ in India, have already entrusted CyanConnode and Partners with multiple orders, which includes various maintenance contract periods.

Which means that there is 80% more of the market to go for, as well as to retain what CyanConnode and Partners already have.

But as we speak, there is a bigger volume that is non RF, than that which is RF. Which will possibly be the case, for some years to come, for various reasons.

Still some doors to knock on.

The " ...... tiny 35 million rollout ...... " was mentioned in the post I sent to you on July 14th, 2022, concerning EDF.

From the report featured in Smart Energy International:-

" The energy giant has already installed over 20 million smart meters in its native France, with a projected roll-out of 35 million meters."

So the 35 million is a " ... projected roll-out ..... " for the project. The actual number already installed by EDF, as of when the report was written, on July 23rd, 2019, was " ..... over 20 million ..... "

As we have had over 2 years of the COVID virus, that effected everything in one way or another, including smart meter installations, the latest figures you want to be looking for, are upwards of 20 million plus, in my opinion.

Also from the report:-

" Indore's smart metering project, which is running on CyanConnode's Omnimesh RF communication network, became a case study that was later adopted by many other DISCOMs across the country. The project was a triumph for the Indore DISCOM who achieved a return on investment in only two and a half years. In addition, CyanConnode has been deploying its Omnimesh RF communication network in terrains of Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. It has achieved a range a 4.2 KMs through regular RF nodes in Shimla, re-emphasizing that its Omnimesh architecture is the best solution for Smart Metering in India with best possible coverage of dense, hilly, agricultural and semi-urban areas while delivering the desired SLAs."

A limited report, but with enough detail on the progress on some of the projects in India, specifically. Also some reference to the different type of terrains that CyanConnode's Omnimesh solution is being deployed in.

Good morning all.

In May and June, 2022, CyanConnode received orders totalling 300,000 modules, for Assam, from IntelliSmart. which is related to a 500,000 Letter of Intent CyanConnode received from IntelliSmart during April 2022, for Assam.

On June 21st, 2022, it was reported in the pioneer about a project for BSES, where-by various smart meter projects are being progressed, including one for Assam, for 2.83 lakh smart meters.

The BSES project, I would imagin is separate to the Assam /IntelliSmart/CyanConnode project and may suggest, as I have mentioned before, some projects/areas/circles ( as is sometimes referred to ) within a state, may not be suitable for RF or have the budget for RF.

So we will have to see what the Assam project for BSES entails and who is involved, when further details are released.

It is a similar map to the others tweeted - this one also has Assam coloured in - but with different information included.

Some say dispatched, others say deployed. The latest one says there are 1 million + RF Nodes connected. So to me the Omnimesh modules/nodes that have been despached, are now deployed and have been connected.

Which is excellent news, I feel.

Also the order book has increased from 1.4 million RF nodes to 1.6 million RF nodes, so good news all round.

The most recent order from JST/MEA was during July 2021, for 31,000 Omnimesh Modules, which along with the first order for 33,000 Omnimesh Modules and the second order for 206,735 Omnimesh perpetual licences, brings the total order so far, for this project for MEA to 64,000 Omnimesh Modules and 206,735 Omnimesh perpetual licences.

There is also some information on the MEA, contained within the RNS's which states that they have around 4 million customers in the city of Bangkok and two adjacent provinces.

CyanConnodes's Omnimesh technology " ...... has been integrated into Forth's electricity meters, using the frequency band of 442 and 447MMHz, which has been allocated to the Thai energy utilities by The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission ( NBTC ) of Thailand."

So a new band width at the time, from what I can remember, for CyanConnode.

There was also some interesting comment's from John Cronin on the tender evaluation for the December 2019 order, from JST/MEA for this initial project.

" We are delighted to be part of the consortium contracted to implement a smart metering deployment for MEA in Thailand.

" CyanConnode's Omnimesh solution met all evaluation criteria and outperformed competitor solutions. This success demonstrates the suitability of Omnimesh for the global smart meter market.

" We look forward to working with JST and Forth to deliver our Omnimesh Advances Metering Infrastructure platform in Thailand."

But we do not know who the competion were.

But the project in Thailand seems to be progressing steadily from what we have been told.
