I do not know if CyanConnode are involved in this tender. But another report on the same subject, goes into some detail on the stance of PGCIL, which may be of interest.

But PGCIL seem to have a problem/cannot make up their mind, about the technology they seem to have requested companies tender for, on one hand and then change their mind at a later date.

" Bureaucratic lethargy " is how the report describes it.

There seems to be quite a lot of revisions going on, to only delay the tender by 10 days. The " tenderee's " for the PGCIL contract must be pulling their hair out. But if that is what is requested, I am sure the companies concerned will take up the challenge.

Hopefully for the last time.

But if, understandably, they are concerned about the " .... 5G-ready NB-IoT technology ..... " not being fully tested, in their view or to their satisfaction, then you would think that a pilot to test the technology to the satisfaction of the customer, is a more controllable and less expensive way to go.

The " Special Business " section of the Annual General Meeting document, under " Disapplication of pre-emption rights ( Resolution 7 ) does indeed state that:-

" ..... the authority will be limited to the issue of shares for cash up to a maximum amount equivalent to approximately 20 per cent. of the Company's issued ordinary share capitol ..... "

There is " ..... an aggregate maximum nominal amount of £1,575,393.57 " figure given under " Special Business " 6 ( a ) and " .... an aggregate nominal amount of £3,150,784.14 ..... " figure given under 6 ( b ).

There is also a figure " otherwise than pursuant to paragraph ( a ) above, up to an aggregate maximum nominal amount of £945,236.14."

Isn't the number of shares that can be issued ( maximum 20% of the Company's issued ordinary share capitol ) determined by the actual share price at the time of execution?

Thanks to tightfist on ADVFN.

A comment by mutibagger on ADVFN on a " Note " at the bottom of the document, points to these meter manufacturers being recommended to customers that want to purchase smart meters independently and to have the smart meters tested by MSEDCL, before installation. Possibly also independently.

So it seems as though there is an opportunity to purchase an electric meter indepedently, by the customer from an Empanelled meter manufacturer, get it tested by MSEDCL and then get it independently fitted, as long as the electric meter is acceptable to the DISCOM.

The Empanelled electric meter manufacturers are confirmed as:-

- Genus Power.
- Schneider Electric.
- HPL Electric Power.
- Allied Engineering.
- Avon Meters.
- Linkwell Telesystems.

From the IntelliSmart report:-

"By setting a target of completing 100% smart meter installation in four cities within a year, the Madya Pradesh West Zone Electricity Distribution Company, has speeded up the installation process. 35-50% installations has been done in Khargone, Ratlam, Ujjain and Dewas."

Also in the IntelliSmart report, is a section on Bihar and Uttar Pradesh:-

- Over 9.5 lakh meters installed in Bihar.
- 100% smart prepaid meters saturation achieved in Smastipur, Bihar.
- 99.7% billing achieved in Uttar Pradesh.

Also:-

- IntelliSmart becomes first empanelled AMISP in the country in both RF and cellular technology.
- Highest monthly meter installation achieved in the month of July 2022.

So, progress is being made by, through and in connection with, IntelliSmart.

An interesting document shared by multibagger on ADVFN, published in July 2022, which confirms that " More than 50 applications were submitted by different players and the first end-to-end AMI demonstration was made for cellular technology followed by RF communication technology by IntelliSmart."
