" Earlier, UP discoms Madhyanchal, Dakshinanchal, Purvanchal and Paschimanchal had floated separate tenders for the supply of more than 25 million smart meters with the combined bid value of almost Rs 25,000 crore.

" The remaining discom - - Paschimanchal - - has not yet cancelled its bid, which was won by Intellismart Infra, a joint venture of Energy Efficiency Services and National Investment and Infrastructure Fund."

An issue has been raised by the Uttar Pradesh consumers' forum, that has filed a petition with the energy watchdog, alleging steep prices quoted by the smart meter bidders.

So still some way to go in Uttar Pradesh, I feel.

...... report, dated April 7th, 2023 quoted by skinny, on ADVFN this morning, also mentions the events from the February 2023 report and the cancelled bids from Adani and GMR, but also goes on to mention that Purvanchal, which is an eastern region of Uttar Pradesh, which " ...... has floated fresh tenders after dividing the districts under its jurisdiction into three clusters, instead of just one. This is purportedly aimed at reducing individual tender size and allowing more companies, including original smart meter manufacturers, to submit bids. Lower bid value would save on costs for the discom."

So it would seem that smaller individual packages of tenders are being considered for Purvanchal, rather than the original, singular package. So, not all bad news.

Much easier to control and to keep track of, I would suggest. But all in my opinion, of course.

It might help, if you look at the tweet overall, including the photographs and do not concentrate to much on one word from within the tweet and one word that I posted.

The CSR initiatives that CyanConnode are referring to, are what I understand are called Corporate Social Responsibility.

The tweet explains in what capacity CyanConnode are involved. The photographs are what I see as Ratna Garapati, with possibly other CyanConnode representatives, but not sure ( photograhs 1, 2 and 3 ) at a Government School for Girls.

The contribution looks to be included in photograph 4, which looks like, to me, some items that CyanConnode have contributed to the school, to contribute towards the youngsters education.

The CSR report explains more fully, but I seem to remember that CyanConnode have contributed before to at least one other organisation, through the same Corporate Social Responsibility Scheme.

As I said previously, I think it is an excellent idea.

...... informs us that Madhya Pradesh has an opportunity of just under 13 million meters, that have been sanctioned for installation.

CyanConnode have been involved with some successful smart meter projects recently, in Madhya Pradesh, which includes 2 orders for Indore and the recent, ongoing order from CyanConnode's new Partner, Montecarlo, which is for the city of Jabalpur, in Madhya Pradesh.

So over 200 million meters have now been sanctioned and were ready for tender/have already been tendered for, by February 9th, 2023, according to PowerLine.
