A quick look at the 100 page tender document that you posted, Vas, gives a Bid Validity Duration of 225 days, from the opening of the Technical Bids ( Approximately 7 months.) So may be in the early stages of confirmation of the winner(s).

But there is also confirmation of the Solutions required:-

- Multiple HESs systems ( 3-4 Nos )

- RF Mesh

- Cellular Based

- Unified ( RF + Cellular )

So there may be an opportunity for CyanConnode and Partners, within this particular tender, but as always, we will have to wait and see what happens.

Himachal Pradesh was the first smart meter project in the state, at the time, under the Smart City Mission and CyanConnode were partnered by Schneider Electric and Esyasoft.

But the project in Himachal Pradesh, does seem to be going well.

A report in the PowerLine Magazine, from 15th May, 2023, mentioned by tightfist yesterday on ADVFN, highlights the smart meter project in Assam, delivered by IntelliSmart and reported on by Mr. Anil Rawal, MD and CEO of IntelliSmart.

CyanConnode are not mentioned directly in the report, but the whole project so far, seems to have been well received by customers.

It all depends on the timeline you use. You could look back at the period from approximately May 2020 ( 3 year historical chart ) until now and come up with a different percentage share price growth, for your money. With opportunities to BUY/SELL all the way up to 28p to where we are today.

The RDSS mandated compulsary procurement of smart meters with ambitious targets:-

" - 100m meters by December 2023 focused on UTs, Industrial, Commercial, Government offices and other areas with losses >15%."

" - 250m smart prepaid meters by March 2025 in remaining areas across the country."

" - Based on a 20% market share for CyanConnode, Zeus estimates the scheme is valued at £625m in revenue over 10 years, to the group."

" As of September 2022, c. 41m units, valued at > £630m in revenu, were tendering and expected to be awarded to AMISPs by March 2023. As of CyanConnode's recent equity raising in January 2023, there are c.100m tendering/tendered, valued at over £1 billion, indicating the government is substantially ahead of schedule in rolling out the initiative. It is important to note that the market in India began over 10 years ago, but, but a combination of funding and legislation barriers meant the market only started to accelerate in 2022. However the Group has been active in the region since the start of this process and thus has both an established reputation and relationships, that are normally synonymus with companies of a far larger scale."

As the time approaches what we hope will be a productive summer and beyond, for CyanConnode, a recap on some of the information provided earlier in the year, that may form the foundations for future growth, for the Company.

Indian Infrastructure modernisation:-

" The Indian government has recognised the benefits of smart meters and has tried to accelerate the market for over ten years with limited success, due to funding and legislative issues. However, on 31st July, 2022, Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, launched the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme ( RDSS ) to improve the operational efficiencies and financial sustainability of energy distribution companies ( discoms ) and power departments. By setting aside c.£30bn in grants to fund c.22% of the upfront costs of each contract, the scheme seeks to provide financial assistance to discoms. Discoms are expected to utilise this assistance for moderising their operations and strengthening the distribution infrastructure by improving the reliability, affordability and quality of supply to end customers. Based on government information, the scheme seeks to reduce AT&C losses to 12-15% and the ACS=APR gap to zero."

Good afternoon all,

As the potential 65 new employees of CyanConnode, will have to, over time, be integrated into the business, there will inevitably be training required, in CyanConnodes proceedures and ways of working.

Also, I do not see all of these new, potential employees, being housed under one roof, or at the same time. But as the contracts become available, new employees will be hired and I can see some being asked to work remotely from home.

But, as CyanConnode already have experience of remote working, which was gained during the unfortunate COVID19 pandemic, no doubt they will draw on the experience and the lessons learnt, if and when required.

Personally, I would much rather that CyanConnode be advertising for various positions that they anticipate will need to be created/filled, in the near future/future, in India and to have the successful applicants vetted and available for when the time comes. Rather than wait for the contracts to be awarded and then be competing with other companies for a specific calibre of applicant, who may already have been approached by a competitor.

Another way of looking at " First mover advantage."

" The company has got off to a strong start with RDSS contract awards. C. 30m units have been awarded to AMISP's so far, who have subsequently awarded awarded c.6m of those out to communication providers, such as CyanConnode, over the last 12 months. The Group has won c.2.3m units (38%) of these 6m units. In terms of installed units, it has installed 1.2m units, equal to ~25% of the installed units (5m) in 2022 and the company has an active Indian order book of more than 3.6m Omnimesh modules across ten Indian States. The majority of the remaining installed base is predominantly with cellular provider EESL, a government body that was awarded the contracts outside the formal tender process. The latest contract development on 6th February, 2023, was a framework agreement for 3m units where CyanConnode will be the preferred supplier of RF technology to a key partner. This has the potential to increase the order book from 3.6m to 6.6m units.

" Zeus conservatively assume a lower market share in forecasts than that achieved thus far, discussed in detail later in the note."

Some interesting months to look forward to, with CyanConnode and the further development of the Indian Smart Meter Programme.
