Also from the RNS this morning, for the 600k Omnimesh module order:-

" The order also includes Advanced Metering Infrastructure ( AMI ) Standards-Based Hardware, Services, Omnimesh Head -End Software, a Perpetual License and an Annual Maintenance Contract. The order will support a smart metering deployment in the utility, Pachimanchal Vidyut Nigam Ltd. ( PVVNL ), located in Uttar Pradesh, India.

" The supply of Omnimesh Modules for this project, is expected to commence during the next quarter and the deployment will be completed within 27 months, under DBFOOT ( Design, Build, Finince, Own, Operate, Transfer ) model. A support and maintenance contract will be in effect for a period of seven years, after the go-live stage."

So roughly a c.$12m order ( £9.6m ) depending on currency fluctuations and any agreed discounts.

Good news, I feel. With potentially more to come.

Good morning all,

If the Framework Agreement, agreed by IntelliSmart and CyanConnode during February 2023, for potentially 3 million Omnimesh modules + bits and pieces, turns out to be connected with the IntelliSmart/PVVNL, 6.7 million smart meter contract, announced during April 2023, then the order received today from IntelliSmart could potentially increase substantially.

But as always, we will have to wait and see what happens going forward.

For me, August 2022, was when CyanConnode started to escalate their order potential capability, with the order from Genus, for Bihar.

But this is still a very significant order.

No problem Vas. And as you rightly pointed out, this is an " .... initial commitment ..... " to get things up and running, " .... to scale up the company's capacity to manufacture new age meters ...... " Interesting.

The smart meter project's in India, will take some time. So onward and upward, for all concerned.

That is our understanding from last year, If I remember correctly. Genus are now manufacturing the Omnimesh modules in-house, to be directly installed into the smart meters.

It cuts down the transportation from one manufacturer to another, which cuts down on any timescale or production delays, that may occure and cuts down on any money transfer trans-actions.

And as I mentioned in my post at 08:31, with a capacity to manufacture over 10 million smart meters, Genus seem to have set aside a production area for CyanConnode's solutions.

All in all, it is a slicker operation for any orders between Genus and CyanConnode and a confidence booster for all concerned.

Also within the report is a comment on smart meter capacity.

" Genus is among the largest players in India's electricity metering solutions industry, with 27 per cent market share. It has manufacturing plants across Jaipur, Haridwar and Guwahati with a total installed capacity of over 10 million meters annually."

I have read various news-paper reports on Genus, over the passage of time, which have indicated that Genus were turning over somewhere in the region of circa 3 million meters annually.

So it is good to know that Genus have, it would seem, a substantial ammount of headroom, to ramp up manufacturing, to " ..... over 10 million meters annually."

Sounds good to me.

The RDSS mandated compulsory procurement of smart meters with ambitious targets:-

" - 100m meters by December 2023 focused on UTs, Industrial, Commercial, Government offices and other areas with losses >15%."

" - 250m smart prepaid meters by March 2025 in remaining areas across the country."

" - Based on a 20% market share for CyanConnode, Zeus estimates the scheme is valued at £625m in revenue over 10 years, to the Group."

So " ..... ambitious targets ..... " as stated by Zeus, but also " ...... substantially ahead of schedule in rolling out the initiative."

In the opinion of Zeus.

Some information that may be of interest that you may not be aware of, from the Zeus report, delivered during early March, 2023:-

" As of September 2022, c.41m units, valued at >£630m in revenue, were tendering and expected to be awarded to AMISPs by March 2023. As of CyanConnode's recent equity raising in January 2023, there are c.100m tendering/tendered, valued at over £1 billion, indicating the government is substantially ahead of schedule in rolling out the initiative."

So, whereas this particular IntelliSmart tender may still be at the beginning of the process, there are other tenders that should be coming to the overall completion stage, that being, awarded to the various successful sub-contractor companies, further down the line, from the main contactor.
