After the cold overnight, today was surprisingly warm here. I think most of the country is over the worst of the wind and rain now (until the next storm).

C7, I think you also hold most/all of your shares in an ISA if I remembering the right person.

Everyone has their own criteria, which I why I would never recommend switching without making sure it's the right fit.

C7, it was purely self interest. I'm thinking ahead to when Scancell's price rises.

IG may have the lowest real cost of trades if you trade often, but their corporate actions department do not respond, and calling invariably means you are on hold for at least 15 minutes if not more.

I have several other criteria, including facilities and research available, annual fees, etc. My most likely scenario currently is to leave some "day trading punts" on IG and put longer term holdings/income shares on another platform.

Apologies both. For the first time in decades I stayed up to watch the results last night** and shortly after waking this morning my internet went off line. So I did the only thing I could think of and took a paracetamol and went back to bed.

I'm not sure at this point if I've received any of my allocated or excess share requested as the cash is still sitting in my account. If it doesn't get allocated, I may switch over to fx trading in the short term.

** on the results - the ft site was spot on about all the votes which would definitely go to either side, and I believe all those labelled leaning too. We know from 2000 how important it is to let election officials do their jobs properly and ensure there is no local interference.

On the sales, there is a crest process that the vote goes with the sale - presumably the platform cancels the submission.

For the AGM voting, remember to add in your allocations as a minimum. As there isn't enough the between the award of excess shares to getting a letter into the post to be actioned, I have already sent in my votes for it.

Has Scancell ever exercised their right to buy back shares? (Resolution 8 in AGM) Hitherto I've been too busy working to follow the details. I'm still quite busy, but I have more free time to be wonder about "Stuff"

My view is that Vulpes could turn the association with Redmile into very profitable business. There are far more investors without the 5M entrance price to Redmile's funds than those with.

ATB - the first snow has dusted the tops of the hills here, so I'm hoping to catch some decent pics.
