AB: From what I've gathered on the internet, I retain my view that IG is good for day trading (assuming any arbitrage on share price is more than made up by low trading costs), and if one isn't expecting to invest divis immediately, or address corporate actions, then they only need to trade 3 times/quarter to avoid any charges at all each year (currently £28/quarter regardless of the value of the holdings).

Because the world has been "absorbing" the market news, I'm sure trading volumes elsewhere have played havoc for bandwidth, etc.

As part of team ramp, I found the presentation informative without the hype you see elsewhere. I will re-watch in the morning to come up with questions. I'm going to take them at their words in the presentation and email directly rather than having to go through my platform.

Only correction I think I caught is the Mount Vernon (well known for heart and cancer treatment as well as for acute care) is in the Borough of Hillingdon (but not part of Johnson's constituency). It supports hospitals in Hertfordshire. the Thames Valley and North-West London.

ab - fair points. IG's communication is not the best. However, last time they took the money up front and were the last anyone posted here to return the excess (only about 21% gained). This time, despite over reserving the ont of money needed to pay for the allocation and excess shares, they have yet to take the money, and and issued contract cancellations.

Although there are some excellent London based services, I am hoping to uncover one closer to where I am, particularly if their process of having to snail mail proxy requests stands. I'm happy happier to take a ferry to Glasgow if need be to hand deliver.

Good morning C7, I've been up for awhile, but decided to take a break from the keyboard. It's 11C here, and I'm on my 2nd cuppa tea. Sunrise isn't until 7:45, so I'm planning on enjoying the dawn. All the snow dusting the tops of the hills around here seems to have gone, but no doubt it will return soon enough.

As you say, there is much to look forward to enjoying this evening as we digest the presentation. I'm not sure what the latest lockdown rules mean for clinical trial registrations, appointments/assessments. I hope they have the resources to press forward so that those who might benefit from the participation are permitted to do so.

C7, when I looked up how much the minimum investment was for Redmile, it came back at a paltry £5million to spare.

Vulpes might take the opportunity to a jump on other firms by claiming to have a close working relationship so that we (who don't have the £5million entrance fee) might select them over others who simply copy cat Redmile's investment strategy.

Again, I honestly believe they would do well to collaborate with Redmile because there are SO MANY MORE PIs who don't have the Redmile minimum investment threshold than do.

In the S&T Committee meeting, Bingham made it sound like it was Gov. Investment in UK Biotech research and manufacturing. Someone mentioned that only those in human clinical trials were in the list. NB: I also saw some info about Bingham's Directorships and shareholdings.

I've been a little busy since Tuesday awaiting today's result.

I read that a few days ago. I believe they have culled the minks, but the new strain has already been shown to pass to humans.

The article I saw said it might make a vaccine difficult (assume they meant the ones targeting specific strains). It will be interesting to see the Scancell response in the presentation on Monday. If it is not in it, hopefully someone will raise a question.

AstraZeneca has fallen far short of its target to deliver 30m Covid-19 vaccine doses to the UK by the end of September and will be able to supply only 4 per cent of what it promised by the end of the year, according to the head of the government’s vaccine taskforce.

The admission by Kate Bingham on Wednesday came as she defended herself against claims that she had shared official and market-sensitive information about the UK government’s vaccine programme with a group of venture capitalists in the US last month.

Bingham added that she was confident that all of the most vulnerable people in need of vaccination — equating to roughly 30m in the UK — would receive one by the start of summer 2021.
