WF: Hmm.. I would have thought that when price sensitive news is released, automatic trading bots should be switched off.

FYI: At least one of the crypto robots has a trailing stop loss to keep profits and only sell when it levels off (once you set your minimum rise).

I think Scancell will benefit from new processes to fast track approvals - at least for Covid19 vaccines. Let's hope regulators take on some of these agile techniques for other therapies.

Switzerland has begun a rolling review of Moderna’s, COVID-19 vaccine candidate so it can give it a speedy approval should it pass muster in clinical trials, the country’s drug regulator said on Friday.

Regulator Swissmedic is already scrutinizing the progress of experimental vaccines being developed by AstraZeneca as well as Pfizer and BioNTech SE in similar rolling reviews.

Not sure how much the Phizer chap netted... Wonder is he's interested in a few stock tips. (smiley face)

I agree, but I now can't see the theory behind their scuppering the price by selling 1.5M over the summer. Topping up over an additional 2.5M.

Last time I checked, Redmile had over 90 current investment and about 1/2 as many again former investment.

I've already mentioned that I'm pretty sure some just look down the list and buy the shares if they don't have the anti to buy into the fund directly.

WTP, is there in any data on how frequently Oxford's vaccine needs to be given? I haven't seen how they monitor efficacy.

Eg 2 shots in a round = £4 plus admin costs and patient time and travel costs. Then testing for antibodies / T-cells until a top up round is needed.
And repeat.

This is not a criticism, I'm just typing "out loud" about how it would work. From what I recall in rats, the two shot does was effective for 13 weeks.

Thank goodness there is an organisation looking to abolish WTO tariffs on pharmaceuticals and vaccines to promote access. The UK will benefit from that if they are successful, but we are not out of the woods yet.

My view is to let the big boys fight it out. The market is HUGE, it is the Bigly-est market there has ever been (to coin an adjective from across the pond known as The Atlantic).

It is SO GIGANTIC that many went after the first to market position on the gamble that they could fail, in which case they may decide to buy out a better project.

I'm celebrating the fact that they are all trying to outdo each other right now because they are legitimising the right to ask the right questions earlier.

My view has always been #DYOR. As I've mentioned several times, my particular interest in Scancell began with their research into pancreatic cancer - 5 year survival rates are still under 8% and I'm looking at others as well.

It is good to see the rest of my portfolio recovering in the past few days (my personal view is that many were oversold), and of course, the FX traders and crypto have been doing well as well - this is not investment advice anyone.

Having been on pins and needles (as have others), just want to feedback that IG have made allocations today. Obviously, all of the 41K+ to which I was entitled, and 87% of the excess shares I requested. So, a completely new process to last time as well as a complete reversal of the % excess share allocations.

Now I'm off to listen to the Scancell presentation again - I've got three columns, things I like, things I don't quite understand, and queries.
