I dont really think the directors have much choice when they can sell shares. They get certain windows that are not "closed" for director share sells and this was one of them .

I would think the reason for the historic NAV is for tax purposes. If the values were revised annually and increased then that would represent a taxable profit annually. The tax due could be quite significant and with little revenue we would probably see regular placings to pay the annual tax bill. If the holding is sold then that gain can be recognised at the time of sale and the cash received can be set aside to meet the tax obligations thus avoiding the need to raise funds to pay the tax due.
However Any sale made that is multiples of the current NAV is going to attract a very large tax obligation at the time of sale as the profit recognised will potentially be enormous.
There are probably ways to offset tax but its still going to be a big drain on the sale proceeds.

Yes but the sells appear to have slowed unless more of today's show tomorrow . Someone has been loading up though hence why the price held given those large sells that have hammered the price down recently.

There have been a large amount of large sales that stopped when the price dropped to the 8.5p level. After the recent RNS rise they started again and that has resulted in the recent drop. Presumably they will either finish selling or carry on until the price the drops to around 8.5p then may stop again. I don't know if it's the Newlands still bailing out to get more into KMK but they prob got a bit burnt there after yesterdays discounted placing over there.

Have you got a share dealing isa, I would assume you do and if so have you used the full £20k annual allowance for transferring into that. If not then you need to open one , you can then bed and isa £20k worth of sales into it before 5th April and on the 6th April the allowance renews again.
If you sell the shares in your normal trading account then be careful about buying them back within 30 days as even if you buy them at a lower price the taxman views the purchase price as if you never sold them.

They bought at 8p iirc the price then dropped to 3p where there was a dilution placing. They participated in that probably to average down then when it rose to 12p again I think they opted to bail out with a profit having lost confidence.

The fact that the loss includes Murata line expenses and thats a one off implies that move to profit is imminent.

I watched a 37 min long epshine release video on their website. They talked about batteries and the supercapacitor wasnt mentioned. It was a Q&A session and again answers talked about batteries. Now they may have been trying to keep some technical details to themselves but the engineers struggled to give answers to some technical questions that they really ought to have know about.
Nothing for us to get excited about unless I am missing something.

I would say that the large seller has cleared their stock now.

Its not a question of tin being trendier. Cornwall has a history of Tin mining, its in the culture and heritage so the locals accept it and there is less opposition, enn support. If it becomes something else then that local support could evaporate, leading to planning delays and local opposition, perhaps even refusal of consent. Besides Tin is in demand and there is a shortage going forward.

They recently took a notifiable stake in KMK around the same time they sold here

Despite all the complaints about dilution, the number of shares in issue at 330m is not a lot compared to many heavily diluted companies in the market, many of which have well over a billion , some 2 billion shares in issue.
This company market cap of around £7m is low, if the market catches on and demand for shares increases then with such a low number is circulation the price could well rise rapidly if the announcements justify a larger market cap valuation.

Disagree Pi, installing capital equipment (production line) is not Research and Development. R&D is innovation, that's why it gets a beneficial tax break, installing or building new factories and equipment is not innovation, its capital expenditure and will have it's own depreciation allowance tax wise.

Ye, I noticed the R&D rebate higher than normal, obviously been a big R&D spend recently that may bode well for more technological advancements and new patents.
