Question , no idea what type , but is it feasible that with multiple sites H&W could deploy some form of renewable energy for self use ? Again not my area of expertise but thinking ( probably foolishly , outside the box ) based at one location but contributing to the grid thereby mitigating energy costs. Anyone with any knowledge would definitely be more then what I possess.

I never thought one was imminent , but what you say is correct regardless of my personal thoughts. Let us not forget they are being paid 25 million of the FSS contract in 2023 and may be in receipt of those funds already. Although it is earmarked for yard improvements and purchase of equipment to automate workflow , it will mean they have less cash flow restraints then previously and orders with a six month delivery will not have to be paid 100 % upfront , in the interim they will be paid for the Cory barge and other contracts. JW may well be feeling a lot less constrained juggling finances.

Evening Chrisatrdg , whilst you are 100 % correct that he cannot purchase knowing of some imminent news which would have a material impact on the share the price ,
that doesn't mean a successful bid won't be announced. That is entirely dependent on a third party selecting H&W and they would then have to RNS.
More important to me is that this is the first time he has purchased and that indicates to me that he believes that the funding will be successfully completed. If he didn't believe that then he would have remained a non holding director of H&W.
