An "enhanced credit" has been introduced for small and medium-sized businesses if they spend 40% or more of their total expenditure on research and development. They can claim credit worth £27 for every £100 spent.

Nobby , not an accountant , did I read somewhere that H&W deferring interest payments , would that be beneficial re availing of said benefit and then more pyts next financial year to offset against tax. Could be talking drivel but perhaps feasible ?

130% super deduction may be replaced by "full expensing", which allows capital expenditure to be written off against taxable profits in the year it is incurred . Sounds pretty decent to me.

Re poetic licence , just read an RNS dated the 9th March for WAND, title Trading update , must be a bloody joke ! Utter unbelievable drivel. One of the worst I've seen.

I did look briefly for history , but to no avail , however the point of interest Si D is the demand for a product that we can supply. As I have no desire to trawl the net to establish if H&W ever worked on Sub fabrication historically I accept poetic license could be at play.

The take out from that post to me is that if fabrication capacity in the UK is currently over subscribed by up to five times and we are one of the companies capable of executing that requirement and have a bid success rate of approx 34 % then H&W should be able to secure a busy pipeline of work. Positive outlook.

I most certainly do not defend nor criticise them . Why they sold all or part of their holdings I have no idea and pontificating over something for which I will never know the true facts is futile. Be in no doubt my objection is not about you bemoaning the fact that they chose to sell , it is the nonsense that accompanies it each time.
