I have today received a response from H&W investor relations re the withdrawal of the planning application. I asked why it was withdrawn and when it would be resubmitted.

We withdrew the initial application and made some changes to ensure a faster turnaround as the new solution does not require a public consultation.

It is absolute fabrication. According to that article it would mean approx 300 employed at Methil . I hardly think approx 40 /50 % of current headcount employed there. Think the author needs a supply of loo roll to assist with his acute verbal diarrhoea. I'll even the tool some.

Perhaps they've never had such amazing publicity at the same time as being in a quarter final ;)

Without doubt IM is an amazing asset, yes it may take intense investment to realise revenue , it could be sold and realise profit immediately. As you reference we could enter a partnership and reduce costs to commercialise the assets
One thing I'm pretty certain of is that JW and crew will have a game plan, the delays with the JR have given ample time to develop such plans.
Is there any possibility the govt could fund development / part own, as they perceive lack of energy storage a security risk and to achieve green targets ? Thereafter taking a cut of profits or some other mutually agreed arrangement.

It's a big deal over nothing , clickbait , 'crunch " no what they are doing is what I did for my business's , scurried around and found the most competitive energy tariff. Does anyone think for one second JW told any journalist or indeed anyone external to the company its crunch time for us because of our electricity bills. Of course he didn't . It is one of multiple fluctuating price considerations that the company has always had to navigate.

Well I haven't done a review of all aim shares but I certainly agree undervalued and believe this will change and a rerate will happen, for all the reasons discusses on here multiple times. Strong hold imo DYOR.

Actually Standinkin01 I disagree with you that with everything on aim it is about shorterm gains. I have a few in my Portfolio that I will hold for a couple of years , believe they are Gems and will ride the waves. There are a lot of clues out there as to what sectors will be in demand over the next five years.
