Yes, tough week that was. Had a bit of a shuffle round but loss eclipsed the gains. I think EVOK has found it's pocket and the trading window is too small for me to bother with. OCDO more interesting for that but won't gamble by holding any into Tuesday. Got caught out by IQE last week ... disappointing performance. Not a time to be burning cash.

My view on SYNT was that at sub 210 it was a bit silly. I think they've got this about as low as they can realistically take it without some kind of negative news feed. Broker re-rate time perhaps!

Seeing a lot of tickers being sold into update/results right now ... likely demonstrates uncertainty on economic outlook. Plenty of doom and gloom around.

GoTrader .... Whilst I think it's an over reaction having already descended to 23p from the low 30s, if I can escape here at 23/24p in coming weeks I think I'd breathe a sigh of relief. Cleary some roots of opportunity appearing but not sure where that path to profit (and cash generation) really is. Thought (or was hoping) these results would be showing some really positive momentum ... instead management have tried to polish a steamy heapy by focusing on revenue upswing. To languish in the mid-twenties seems fair.

Well I don’t think it was a great result. Sold some on open and might buy back in if it goes sub 20. Nice to see the EBITDA number but the cash burn looks more than expected. See what investor call yields.

LOTM ... I kind of said the same to WT recently. Felt that at 230 it might just be where it should be based on last news. I get the impression it was deliberately uninspiring. I looked at wider sector and believe they have understated it somewhat. They are holding EBITDA (which even on that basis is undervaluing the company significantly), which should only improve and quite likely one more update away from a positive adjustment in forecasting.

I remain unconvinced they can pull it back to a 400m EBITDA ... but maybe 250-300 is realistic by 2026?

I think what you say in terms of the loss is a fair expectation. Already we know the revenue side. Imagine there will simply be a comment stating that it remains a challenging market with some indicators that recovery is under way etc. When it comes to smartphones, the last set of IDC info I saw was stating global units was up something like 6%. I'd imagine that carries over to technology products in general. If they could confirm further revenue gains for H2 and maybe a pathway to profitability in 2025 ... that might kelp things along.

This is not the only company being sold into results. Maybe a bit of profit taking for those who had not already taken in the 30s.

There you go with the game playing. Tried to buy on 25.15 to 25.35 spread several times and different volumes. As low as 10K shares the instant quote is above the range at 25.40 ...

This has been dragged down not just on apathy but usual game playing. Sub 26p it's well worth a punt into next weeks results. Lomas clearly is driving the business far better than before. Still need to turn it into profitability and cash, but that should come shortly I imagine. I don't think the climb to 50p+ will happen until some profitability is delivered (however small). Maybe next week will provide some more insight into that.

You had a little short increase along with the usual dissipation as news fades to past. Personally I thought 60p was a realistic point to buy back in and I have been patient. Just need to hold on. This share is being played not on any metrics/opportunity but purely on hedge funds ability to own the playing field with all the products available to them.

Since management already batted away 156, its clear the company is not available at bargain levels so the SP is reliant on 'company news'.

Agreed. Very happy it's going into additional buyback. Far better than a special divi. Strong future here if they stay on track. Not convinced the 25% gain will remain but certainly see the £1.50+ scenario in mid term.

Well, I think it could be quite mixed. UK reporting a loss H1 with positive outlook for H2. Balance sheet hit on US business sale. (The way I read it they get £33m for the business sat with assets of £80m+). The cash position will be the big positive and what they plan to do with it.

It got to where I wanted to be to load up again but the markets basically going in the direction that there might not be any action with that cash on these results ... had enough of out of this ticker to take a swing that management with produce something to further enhance the SP.

Been holding out for this to dip below 100. The seller/s has been around for some time now and does not seem to be letting up. Assume they want to clear before results on Thursday for whatever reason. Maybe they are assuming a loss will give this a bit of a knock...company already gave guidance that H2 would show profit in UK with no mention of H1. Thing is, they should announce what they plan to do with the cash from the US sale. Personally I hope it goes into buyback ... not really interested in divi just yet.

Ouch selling at 54p. I’m still holding 40% of what I had in EVOK. Too risky to sell all as it’s the smart play to go after this business now rather than wait.

As for SYNT, I grabbed some in the 230s but reading through the results detail, I just wonder whether it’s priced right for the time being.

WT ... you still around ... at what point do you reckon to start buying back in? Was thinking first lot at 65 but last time pulled the trigger far too soon. Wonder if we will see the 50's again in the coming weeks now the director buy buzz has abated.
