Personally, the wine and delivery partnerships are not why I invest here. For sure much prefer going to majestic than considering supermarket wine aisles. Whisky/spirits and the like are easily managed in Amazon. Wine wise Waitrose and M&S are good but limited. Probably too many wine 'subscription' companies out there but I think this one is well run and simply over-stretched in it's ambitious plans. The right-sizing seems to be nearing a completion and growth in EBIT and cash generation should see this business delivering shareholder return soon ... or even taken private.

Said some time ago it will be September earliest. To hell with it, why not go for 12 months under the takeover code and claim some kind of record for the length of period idle chat can be presented as 'serious and productive' to the panel ... oh and of course the mountain of pointless RNSs.

It's all fun and waiting ... potential of 15-18p or 3-5p.

Hedge, I'm not in your gang ... thoughts are aligned but I'd be more a-tuned to this plus two other companies to seriously create something in multiple product categories and territories taking back stuff from consumer households.

The 'delay' was down to the need for the PNC deal to be incorporated into the audit. Imagine they will try and dump the financing fees into the FY results.

If the cash element was at high end from £10m to £20m, you're looking at a company whose MCAP is 2 x cash. Provisions / exceptionals are hammering reported figures (with profit coming back from previous provisioning already demonstrating a little over-exuberance). So the cash climb is the thing to look at alongside marginally improving EBIT. For sure the revenue drop and 'loss' could be a market focus and may take longer for this to get to where it should be. Last time it went from 30p-60p so may later in the year we will see the 50p-100! Certainly worth having some powder if the market decides to drag it down further on Wednesday. Can't really see the logic for it, but you never know!

I think we have pretty similar averages, over 3 accounts I have 69, 64 and 61. Pleased I go away Friday so can switch off and let this run it's course! I have 4 including this one which are nicely in red at the moment and holding off buying any more. Don't like sitting on cash when you see a lot of prices getting a shelling right now, but I just wonder if August will bring worse ... if it doesn't I'll live with the regret rather than risk a red sea.

JG, seems like a fair assumption. I was thinking 55p but with August in front of us, could well smash through that. That said, I don’t have the conviction to sell all I have now and buy back later! Been sold into quite a bit and might only take a seller to stop selling.

Hi WT, since PFC has lost its large scale volatility and they are much closer to an event, I stopped messing with it. There was a little bit of luck with FCH…30p sp was a joke but the buyback and selling US was massive. Still hold some but took a lot of profit.

Since I go away much of August I doubt I will start on any new tickers. Biggest holdings going into Aug are here, evok, IQE, mmag, Fch, jup, wine. Will look at SHOE….not one I have ever considered.

Well I looked at it as about 860m revenue for first two quarters ... 13-14% EBITDA they quoted in last updated delivers about 110-120m first half. Would say they are looking sub 300m with finance costs likely in the 200m range. So not a disaster but increased debt costs and the fees that come with it are an anchor to real shareholder return. Maybe in 2-3 years this could treble as debt reduction and dividends appear ... realistic range is probably 100-120 if they deliver H2 to plan. As I've already said, no long term hold for me. This brutal treatment simply provides short term opportunity.

From it's somewhat nasty start the US is turning to positive today. If that sell off turns out to be more of a blip than a trend, then hopefully that will translate to this side of the pond too.

It’s the sort of thing that happens to me all the time!! You might get your 59p later…particularly if that brutal US sell off carries on. Must be back to covid days since the Nasdaq dropped 3% plus in a day!

Not sure how corrupt it is. Short and CFD products certainly cloud the light and it’s made worse when there simply is not the level of cash/interest in UK PLC. Makes it easy for hedge funds to make tonnes of money, fill their coffers and give little back to communities but certainly make sure their political donations are well maintained! But hey, this is how developed countries function best right?

Well I held out yesterday JG so bought just now and earlier at 62.50. Will leave it there now unless it goes to 55.

Hi WT ... yes grabbed some more EVOK at 62.5 so will see how that pans out. Got a feeling it will get a sharp downward hit before Friday but who knows.

Was building here but looking at the trades this will not go low 60s. Fancy Blackrock has been quietly reducing underneath the notification level. Heard US have been selling off ... guess it's a summer thing or CFDs are flavour of the day.

Their position in the supply chain means they have already seen and reported that decline. My concern would be the China Jv and whether they are maintaining trajectory and winning over oems there. Tough market I expect.

This could get very interesting. 3 weeks until the interims and there's a real effort in play to clobber the SP .... maybe a big run of buys in the next week or two. If they carry on with the MRO type style, they will address the SP as early as possible. Business just needs a bit of recovery from the powertrain statement they put out.

Well WT, this one could have an interesting August so long as they drag it back down again to low 60s. Not that I'd be moaning if it simply kept climbing daily. Not selling any until 69p gets hit.

Take a look at DWL ... that's starting to get teed up nicely having been in the 67-74p type range.

No idea JG ... my view is we will be playing down in the 60s for a while ... but then we could be just as easily back in the 80s within weeks. Just seen this has gone to 63p so will be interesting if that's a gather and dump type play to push down harder.

I'm not so sure about the 50s now JG. The trading is being heavily run by algos now and looks like retail selling has abated. Maybe one last hoorah to catch some stop losses ... good game, good game!

Yeah saw that ... so probably going to get uglier tomorrow. Removed my 62p buy order just in case that gets swallowed and then some before I finish my breakfast!

JG, I'm pretty open about not being here for long ... just until it's back up to 80/90p+ really. For those waiting for the £1 plus, all it needs is a Q3 update delivering what management are saying and it should put a bit of wind in the sails. Who knows what the game is right now but its providing a nice platform from which someone could build a nice, low average position...or from which MW and GLG could close out some of their shorts.
