One thing for sure, MSC have booked a slot for the Leandra including the m/f and fitting of the scrubber, MSC will not be putting this off in relation to Quadrise not having the fuel ready. Once the ship has been drydocked and equipped with a scrubber then we will know if or not our guys are ready, there will be no wiggle room left.
The rules state that cargo ships have to be dry docked twice in an interval of five years with the interval between consecutive dry dockings being not less than two years and not more than three years. The classification societies have interpreted this rule by providing a regular interval of thirty months with a window period of + or – six months from the anniversary date so as to suit this requirement.
It will be a welcome sight to see her released from her current India, Africa route and not designated as an extra vessel.
Her allowable time outside of her maintenance schedule must be well overdue.
Scrubber fitting is planned well in advance of her dry docking see below.

The work behind the scenes begins four to six months in advance of any actual scrubber installation.
Heading for Port Louis, arriving 16 Feb, then on to Durban, arriving 21st Feb, not scheduled as yet but she was destined for Cape Town for the 27th Feb, hopefully this India/Africa route terminates at Cape Town and she heads off to dry dock.
From the latest Edison report,
Quadrise is also launching a "Blend-on-Board" solution for the production of MSAR or bioMSAR emulsions on vessels. This may be tested under the MSC agreement or with new marine clients that the company is approaching.
So it hasn't had a formal release yet, so its still in the wrapper at the moment.
Agreed Vince, I would think any variant of residual fuel could be used as long as there is the addition of glycerine and the important 10% of water mixed through the Blend on Board to gain interim LONO then the refiners would have to take it more seriously.
Results must be overdue.
Aquafuel is scheduled to complete further diesel engine testing of bioMSAR as well as other fuel and biofuel formulations to support the new Quadrise Blend-on-Board solution by the end of CY Q422.
Got a hunch, this BoB system may enable a start to the Bio Msar Lono without the need for a refiner,
· bioMSAR™ and Blend-on-Board - Following successful completion of the bioMSAR™ tests in Italy in December 2022, Wärtsilä is now finalising the test reports which will be available for commercial purposes in Q1 2023.
Biomsar sailed through, Msar shouldn’t be far behind,
From business update 2 weeks ago
We anticipate that the remaining logistical issues will be resolved this month so that the trial can then proceed as planned

that as far local scheduling goes for now, long distance, she's at Cape Town 27th Feb
Long Shot, but with the Wartsilla results in and the diminishing schedule for MSC Lendra, maybe some ducks are about to line up, its not like we don't need it.
Fuel supply RNS would work well now.
Is this quite recent and does this suggest the Wartsilla test results have been received.
Bio Msar tests resulting in emissions 45% lower than diesel. With those stats and the efficiency its incredible that its not already mandatory to use it ffs.

Seems they are elected via tender process, today is the annual tender date
The Board of Quadrise Fuels International plc (AIM: QFI) is pleased to announce that following a comprehensive audit tender process, the Board has approved the proposed appointment of BDO LLP ("BDO") as auditors to the Company for the financial year ended 30 June 2020.
Would be nice to see a red dot in the morning updating us on progress in Morocco or any other area for that matter, we've got a new project manager starting this week so it would be nice for some projects to fill his/her time.
I sent an email to ir. on Friday quizzing on several areas, one being the whereabouts of the Morocco trial fuel, if I get a reply I will post.

Interesting read for for those that have not seen it.
stable bioMSAR™ emulsions were successfully prepared by the Quadrise laboratory based on replacing glycerin with second-generation (advanced) sugars, mainly xylose and glucose, that were produced by Vertoro from lignocellulosic forestry residues.
Yes, fully agree, I’m hopeful that it will be done and dusted before the March update. With the amount of projects and potential projects in the pipeline it’s reassuring that they are taking on the new project manager.
Typically the lifespan of MSAR is 1 year but for trial volumes it is formulated to last longer, so no issues with the shelf life of the Moroccan trial fuel.
Mathews replacement starts within a fortnight, so new project manager inbound.
All good news
Nice to know the lights are on.
Would be nice to hit a given timeline.
