Only happens when we see a rise. QED: it's there to limit rises and to keep the sp range bound. QED: Someone wants the sp held down - which must be for accumulation reasons. IMO this can only be related to corporate level deal or AMP shares. Over the next few weeks we will find out whether the AMP shares are being sold to an ii in one hit or monthly - this will help understand (and maybe spell the end of) the shenanigins.

I have a new theory about the 11mill transfer trade yesterday.
I think this could be a housekeeping task, moving SandGrove's chunk of 'real' shares into the CFD wrapper with the rest of their shares.
And that AMP selling remains for now.
So don't be surprised to see a TR01s to this effect for SG and an increase for whoever is servicing thier CFD [it used to be BOA but I think it changed?].
Anyway, just a theory. I'd rather it was AMP but I suspect their presence might be around for a little longer... We should find out either way soon.

Yep, they have 3 days to notify. Am expecting two tr01 ... one from amp showing a reduction in holding and the key one from the new holder. Given the press coverage I expect we'll see them tomorrow at the latest. IG

Kels. Simply based on supply and demand, I see 50p+.
This is worth £200mill now. With the AMP yolk removed and acceptance, the iis will start building. Who's going to sell? Not many.
The mms will play games and try to drop it, plus the sell on news brigade, but overall there is no real downside from here so I am very happy :-)
With partner news this wiill be north of £1.

The clock is ticking. Can't see many sellers now that the risk is almost gone. I see a re-rate first and then loads of trading. There will be plenty who are happy to sell at 50p so the sp will move up to there so the mms can match selling & buying volume. The a small drop to panic some into selling on tge belief it's heading back down. When those sellers dry up, it will move higher as the buying interest will just build now.

The iis will now start building positions for approval/commercial deal. Any they are not having my 350k shares cheap after all this patience.

Marineville. The party is equally about amp (our distressed seller) being finished as it is about the hugly important acceptance. With almost no sellers left at this level and lots of ii & pi building positions, I expect a significant rerate. I and many others have not waited years to sell on a 10 or 20% rise. IG

I still want to know who took the amp shares. I guess that positive news will be tomorrow or Wednesday. Or maybe intra day. More fuel for the fire. IG

Hi both. The rerate will not come when expected. Big boyd control this not us and not news. The sp has been held down for some time - potentially to allow the purchase of 20mill AMP shares at a bargain price. Distressed sellers are often 'worked' in this way. Without this incredible supply of suppressive selling, the sp will quickly move to a new natural level. Many lth holders are looking at multiples of today's sp so I expect us to find a level well notth of here. Also - if a new ii wants to build a 5% holding, without the amp supply around, that alone will cause a huge rerate. Plus, imo, acceptance is a bigger hurdle than approval. IG
