I was mate. Way too heavy. Bad situation as I was trying to recover huge losses from my first few 'investments'. (rash decisions after a messy divorce) And yes, the last few weeks have hurt a lot. Lot's of 'if only' s to live with now. I always had this hard stop and as we are approaching exchange / completion I was starting to sweat too much - broke is bad. Broke and divorced is worse. Anyway, I have enough to sort the house and buy some nice bourbon. Just a shame that I have to start again with a giant mortgage that I wouldn't have needed 5 years ago - I really believed motif would put me back on my feet.

Over the last few days I've had to sell the majority of my holding. I need the money for a house deposit and hence had a hard limit (which I hoped we wouldn't get near). You can bloomin guarantee it will now take off. Pretty gutted but can't risk any further drop.

Thanks. And it wasn't a price I was waiting for, it was the confidence in the drill & bod. I believe all the issues are now behind us.
I don't expect another fund raise, they had contingency cash and a debt facility.
The sp dropped for 2 days after the last spud, hence my timing that the 'sell on news' crew have now finished. And the placement takers are not likely to sell below b/e (8p). Hence I expect the fear to turn to greed tomorrow and to see a gradual rise over the next couple of weeks. There is a nice gap to fill up to the level prior to the first 103 issues (11.7p). We'll be there in a week or so imo.

I've bought my first AAOG shares.
Might come as a surprise to some, but I felt that today was the day, after almost 2 years watching.
50k @ 8.3899. Will double up if it drops below 8p

PS: The 'delay day' was actually the day, at sub 7 but I was asleep and missed that.

IMO, the COS is a bit irrelevant and is not what is impacting the sp.
As a straight gamble on the drill, this is now a good buy. The sp is low (and held down) for 2 unrelated reasons:
1) All the problems over the last 2 years have made people very wary (imagine the effect of another issue with the drill / platform - that would be catastrophic now)
2) A lot of pi have averaged down several times - and intend to de-risk some pre drill result, hence any rise is and will continue to be sold into.

DrMaccers. You misundersood the RNS. The quote you refer to about having sufficient cash resources to trade to for at least 12 months, is a requirement to continue as a going concern.
If you read it more carefully it actually says that they have identified sources of funding inc equity & debt, and TAKING THIS INTO ACCOUNT they believe that they have sufficient cash RESOURCES to trade to for at least 12 months.
Your statement that there is no cash call coming is unfounded. You do not know this. You want it to be true and are hence spreading this misinformation as fact. Be careful - I've heard that making things up and spreading them as facts is a criminal offence.

I'm quoting directly from the company RNS. It may not be what you want to hear but that hardly makes it 'spreading misinformation'. In my opinion the evidence suggests a need to raise funds.

Market appears to be anticipating a cash call. Given that the BOD have effectively confirmed that deal news is at least weeks away, I can see the downward pressure holding for minimum a fortnight or until funds are raised.

Hi Sheltie. Agree about the pi getting mugged as usual on aim. But I still maintain that details of our commercial deal will be the biggest catalyst here - and I expect that news this month. At the moment the auto machine can dump the sp triggering stops and shaking weak holders with only £100k of shares. The iis who have invested 10s of millions can lift this very quickly. But they are here for big news and not daily games. IG

Am still sitting on the sidelines. Has proven the right decision so far. I expect a cash call next (soon) - which will offer sub 2p entry.

So, between 1 and 3 people, who have MTFB positions thru IG, are short. Those 1, 2, or 3 people may well be hedging against warrants. Seriously, up to 3 people? Not sure that's particularly substantial.

Sandgrove are over 12% now (they increased the CFD they hold via HSBC)
and there is also a major US institutional investor holding 2.999% (bought from AMP in May)

Agreed it's just related to the small subset of IG customers. No declared shorts at FCA declareable level.
IMO the shorts are people hedging, possible against warrants.
Also agree it's nothing to worry about. The day IMM collapsed IG customers were 100% long.

Agreed. I've not waited for 2 years to sell out for 10% profit. This was just the start, October is going to massive.
Personally I'd prefer suspension pre deal announcement.
