This problem could be catastrophic for the company. It's a risk not worth the reward IMO.
I might punt £1k at sub 7p, after this has drifted down over the next week or 2, but that would be all for now. I'll explain why ...

What was a fair (and decent) gamble, now has a huge unknown added against it. Why take the huge risk of investing at 8.5p with all this unknown, when you can wait and invest at 10p or so once (and if) the problem is fixed? If you are investing for the drill then you are looking for an upside above 20p (maybe well above) vs a downside of near zero, so is this additional unknown really worth gambling on? Not with any real money IMO. Just wait for the outcome (or proper information) on the problem, and pay 20% more.
If you watch these forums and twitter, you'll see a number of big holders & placement takers pumping it while they de-risk and dump shares!!

To counter misleading statements.
Like your comment "the delay could be a couple of weeks".
The delay will be at least a couple of weeks but could be a couple of months or more.
In typical AAOG style, that the's only part of the RNS that is clear ... "The Company is working to determine the optimum solution with a view to restricting any delay to a matter of weeks".

I've had a look at the chart as you suggest, and I can see an mcap of £7-10mill last summer in the build up to this same drill [the bod said it was fully funded last time too].
With the uncertainty of this latest problem I agree £13m mcap is quite surprising ;-)
It's nice of the pis to allow iis to reduce their placement exposure (at a profit). Doubt 8p will hold for long.

So that amp reducing nicely. Won't hear from them again for a month. Only 7mill left to sell at this price - they are hoping to get away with selling considerably less at a much higher price. The amount left to sell and eager ii buyer mean that AMP are old news now. No real drag on the sp. It's interesting that last time they sold all 3 tranches in 1 hit, now just one. They obviously think the rerate is imminent. I agree. A commercial deal is likely to be announced within the next 6 weeks imo. Timing based on what GL has said previously about being ready for Q1 launch. That will also fund habp start in Q4. Global deal still very much an option. I expect a few more iis will want a slice of this pie. And they are going to have to buy on the open market. I've previously suggested aug/Sept as being transformational and stand by that. The rerate will take many by surprise. One day it's 35p to get in, within a week it'll have snuck up to 50p. Gla IG

Sold 3mill direct to an ii. The speculation that they will wait till the last minute was accurate as they want to benefit from a rerate. It was more than the minimum required but not much more. Paid off the September payment and reduced the remaining 3. Clearly zero issue finding a buyer. Hopefully we should find out via tr01 this week the identity of the ii taking them. IG

I totally understand the logic, although I wouldn't rule out the possibility that the buyer is known to them and is getting a sweet deal... ;-)
Either way, I think we can all see that there isn't much concern about them finding a buyer.
Let's see what the next 10 days brings. The recent multi million pound transfers signal a change in the trading pattern to me.
If SG alone wanted this up, based on av daily volume they'd only have to increase their holding by 10% on the open market to cause a very significant rise in the sp.

The payments are due on 15th. The previous set of three were paid in full via a bulk sale to an ii, 3 weeks prior to the first payment.
This is an optimum time gap and I expect the same for these final 4 payments. Hence 23rd ish.

The multi million pound transfers and algo shenanigins are no coincidence, some big players are taking positions here and AMP being out will be the last hurdle imo. During September we are likely to hear news of the commercial deal (as per various statements grom GL) - the price will build considerably in anticipation of this.

I'm sure a lot of the games are surrounding amp. A distressed seller is such an easy target. As I posted several times, I strongly expect next week (around 23rd) to see amp's 4 remaining payments sorted via a final bulk sale of mtfb shares to an ii. Probably the same as last time. At this point the games will end as it's no longer in anyone's interest to waste money supressing rises, and this will steadily rerate as we approach news of commercial deal. IG
