Thanks Matterhorn. I think that 81% NDA approval rate is after a successful P3 result though. So if you were going by those figures, we're in the '15% chance of approval' group. That would mean the P3 share price should eclipse the P2 price if the result is good.

Are you sure?

My first thought was that the 80+% figure sounds way too high. So I had a quick look and the only figures I've found on it are this European Respiratory Journal article, which states that "Between 2011 and 2012, 60% of drugs failed because of lack of efficacy, with 52% failing at phase III and beyond". https://erj.ersjournals.com/content/45/5/1197

Does anyone else have any sources to support that 80+% success rate quote?

The projected 2025 completion date was announced in May 2020. So I think it's fair to say that the events of the past 18 months would have contributed to at least some of that 12 month delay. They're continuing to make progress so things are going in the right direction.

I am aware of that. That wasn't the issue.

It's the lack of information from the company about the trial that's a concern. End date? Number of participants? We were told recently it could be on the market this year. Now we're being told "we'll get back to you by next summer". So what's gone wrong and why aren't we being kept up-to-date?

No I invested early last year. I'm just annoyed because the company would be in a better position if it wasn't for the hype, excuses and empty promises.

Most of my investments have been in drug development companies and it's common practice to be very transparent about trial methods, number and progress. So why not here?

There hasn't been much to be positive about with DVRG since the price plummetted from 70p. But pre-orders would be great.

You might be right. But there would've been some people who read that and then complained if we're still waiting for the results on February 1st. Fwiw, I'm expecting the results to arrive anytime from mid-January to early April.

We've been told "early 2022". To assume that means "early January 2022" is a bit silly, and to pass it off as a fact to other poeple on here is really dumb.

With that in mind, does anyone have any information on how much focus the company currently has on R&D: what they're working on, annual budget etc?

Here's all that the latest full results (year end Dec 2020) say about it:

"Administrative expenses consist of sales, marketing, operations, research and development, and public company costs such as legal, finance and the Group Board. These expenses were $2.6m in 2020 down from $3.4m in 2019."

cmww2014, it's clear that communication is taking place between Synairgen and the government. But I think we'll only hear about their plans when it's appropriate.

Merck was worth over $150bn when pre-orders were announced.

If that happened here it would play havoc with the share price, could damage future investment prospects, scupper chances of a takeover and would help absolutely no-one.
