The IAG deal could pay for half the plant and secure funding on the other half. The Shell deal was nothing compared to that, which is why the share price barely hit 10p back then.

I researched it and can confirm you're wrong. As I wrote yesterday, when they began to prove the potential of the microchannel reactor, other companies took notice and now they're the ones playing catchup. VLS technology is one-of-a-kind and the only remaining step is to demonstrate it at commercial scale.

People have been saying that for over six months. But if things continue to improve and progress at the rate we're seeing, the longer they leave it the better the price will be. Either way you take your chances. I think it would reflect badly on the company if they took this price rise as a chance for a quick cash grab instead of seeing it as an opportunity to grow.

IIRC they've got enough cash to comfortably continue for at least six months, and by then this week's MOUs are expected to be legally binding.

I expect that would have started today if there were going to be significant numbers moving money out for a month. I think it's more likely we're going to start to see a gradual rise over the coming weeks and a significant jump at the start of the new year.

Last year when Synairgen announced its Phase 2 covid drug results, the boost in price and the small amount of international press coverage it received led to eight-figure investment from one or two American VC firms within weeks. If we see the same thing happen here (and that's a very big 'if') this company could transform overnight.

And as for Shell... anyone comparing a fuel supplier to an end user, and thinking that the partnership is equivalent has got the wrong idea imo.

Well they would say it about BA wouldn't they, since it's the same deal? IAG owns BA.

It says in the RNS that they aim to make it a legally binding agreement within six months, and IAG has the option to buy half the company that will own the plant, with Velocys owning the other half.

So they're not likely to be doing anything to scupper the deal.

You made too many wrong assumptions to be speaking on behalf of the entire board.

When a company gets international media coverage for the first time it will bring it to the attention of many news potential investors. Many of them will never have even heard of the company until they wake up and see it on their favourite news site or paper. So how and why would they already have a buy order?

There were a couple of million OTC shares traded yesterday, equating to around 2% of yesterday's volume. A story in a major US paper could provide ten times that today. And since it's appeared in The Times today, it's entirely possible it will appear in other publications owned by the same group, e.g. The Wall Street Times.

I bet he doesn't wake up at 3am to do it either. It makes sense that US private investors who dabble in foreign markets would join us around lunchtime GMT.

Also, it's getting media attention and involves US operations. So it's not surprising some of them would be interested.

Not if we're talking specifically about inhaled interferon beta. On that there's still very little evidence, which is why you shouldn't just dismiss any that you don't like.

If you think it's irrelevant because it was done in the 70's, that's your mistake. We've all been told our trial from last year was too small to show statistical significance. But the results were good, so you're just picking and choosing which evidence to trust based on whatever fits your narrative.

I don't think it does. I've been invested here for over 18 months but I hadn't heard anything about CCRU's work until today. So it's in my interest to support anyone who posts relevant information especially when they get a ton of abuse for doing so.
