I know a lot about the rules but I’m not 100% on this technicality! So this is purely my opinion...strictly speaking if you are sticking to the rules then psi should be released without delay, but of course there’s an argument that it can’t shift the SP whilst in suspension, so providing it was released in tandem/without delay once the restoration rns was published (usually at least 30 mins before trading recommences) then I can’t see what grounds the fca would have to object as there would be no threat to an orderly market. They would probably see it differently if it was evident that the information was leaked in advance of rns.

Personally I would prefer to know ASAP if funding is in place, even if still suspended.

That’s v true Adam but if I were AZ, depending on my view, I might consider not signing my bit of the contract until I’d had the go ahead for restoration from the fca...on the other hand, if I were a funder I might prefer to wait to sign my end until SYME gets restored. Who knows.

The way shares are shown here on lse and on various trading platforms has changed from time to time during suspension and in and out of trading hours. It means nothing until there’s an rns stating that restoration of trading is to happen.

Gosia that would be for the accounts for the period ended Sept 2020 that would have been due at CH by end of March. (Publication, via rns due by end Jan 2020) , but this accounting period was changed back to 30 Dec by the co in Jan as we know. Looks as if CH hasn’t updated the system to reflect it. Once the change happened the Dec 2019 accounts would have immediately been overdue at CH because they should have been filed In June 2020. Nothing to do with the rns/suspension though.

Agreed about libellous actions and legal consequences. Not part of the remit of FCA though..how is it any different from mad rampers and their statements of where SP ‘will definitely’ get to? Hence all the warnings of DYOR, you can lose money on investments etc. The idea being you look at risk/return profile of an investment, listen to both promoters/detractors, make up your own mind as an adult about whether to buy or sell. That is the principle of an orderly market. The only information on which you should be able to rely 100% is the rns releases by the company...once they become misleading/false then the FCA will get involved, not when some random on social media starts spouting off. The company can take action on that if there are libellous statements being made.

Doctor I am positive and patient..I’m trying to make the point that everyone is freaking out at the mere suggestion that there may be an investigation and that this in itself would ruin the company. IF there is an investigation, if there’s no wrongdoing then all that happens is AZ has had a load of time to get funding nailed down, during which we haven’t had to watch the SP slip. Everyone gets reassured that there’s nothing untoward going on (if they had any concerns around smoke and fire). And TW comes out looking rather foolish. This isn’t deramping, it’s a binary thing here, being restored to trading means he was wrong. If they come back and still don’t have funding in place then any SP dip should be due to other shareholder/market concerns, not TW’s theories that the FCA will have put to bed.

Rebel so you think that the FCA, because they are overstretched, simply bin 2 out of 3 complaints put to them? Interesting strategy for a regulator, what could possibly go wrong?

Parm, agree that TW must be speculating because he wouldn’t have been told anything by FCA either. (I’m not sure if he has said that he is speculating himself, I don’t read his stuff)
