If China has invested in Iranian oil infrastructure, which seems dubious, then that is a commercial risk, which the Chinese will understand perfectly.

If China did attack Taiwan, then good luck to China! The USA is more than prepared! Whilst the USA has two aircraft carriers in the Eastern Mediterranean, the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Gerald R. Ford, the US Navy has another NINE spare! I am not even including destroyers and other assorted warships. In conclusion, the US is NOT overstretched, not even close.

Frankly, the only way for the US to make Hormuz safe again is to completely obliterate the Iranian military. How long would that take, assuming that it could even be done?
