RE: Why is poo not going up, why down?23 Jun 2026 01:34
david 1960,
*lets face the facts: trump is a gormless tw--t,
nothing has changed in that respect, so no market movement because of it
*the straights are just about closed and in pure turmoil,
but as the straits are o*****h, then this pushes down the proce of crude oil as more supply is envisioned in the marketplace.
*there is no genuine peace agreement,
sure, i agree, butnthe mou is a step towards that, so this pushes down the futures price of cride oil.
*they are still fighting like crazy in m/east,
so what has changed? where there is fighting therenis no oil production.
*but oil is cheap,
is it? the futures price has fallen, but is still above where it was before the iran business kicked off. what i want to know is what has happened to the price of oil in the spot market? has that fallen much, if at all?
*why is it not up over 100??.
if you mean the crude futures market, it is because traders see that or hope that, things are now slowly heading towards normal. whether that holds true for long is very debatable!
