I suspect with the overhang of excess crude in storage and already on the way for processing, buyers are not chasing up the price, hoping that this will all be over quickly.

If things drag on, they will be forced to reassess, with the price of crude creeping up.

If nothing changes, it will be interesting to see where prices stand on Monday morning.

Were BP shares to rise 10%, in line with Brent's rise by 10%, that would make the current price rise from 477p to about 524!!!

Where did you read or heae that about Dubai Airport?

Another thing to consider for Monday morning is that if profits are taken from rising BP share prices, then would there be fallers worth investing in that would recover once this all stops? Airlines?

It helps that BP is ex dividend at the moment, so I still get the dividends were I to sell some of my holding.

Debt Risk.

The article states that a prolonged crisis could push up interest rates making the BP debt pile harder to manage financially. I disagree profoundly! If the crisis continues for a prolonged time, BP would be making billions of super profits due to the higher price of crude, so much so that the debt interest would not even be felt.

Should I make the effort to get up in time for the markets opening and decide what to do then?

Or do I set a sell order to sell a portion of my BP holding to crystallise some profit? But, if so, for how much? I do not want to set a sell price of, say £5.00, to find that it goes up much higher.

Once things calm down again, I could then consider buying back.

That alone will bump up the price of crude oil! How much? 5%+ for sure. 8-))
