I said yesterday after the vox interview that it was the greenlight for traders to safely sell with little risk of suddenly being out for the next big update - just wait a few days for it to settle and then a week or two more for FOMO to strike again and this will be back at 85p+

I think some on here are downplaying the effect positive resolution of the dispute will bring if it goes that way. We’re not just talking an extra bit of money added to the cash pile, we’re also talking of a line being drawn under the whole ‘are there skeletons in the closet?’ narrative that has arisen, compounded by the PE article and posters on here doing everything they can to draw attention to it.

It’s the only thing that can really explain why no II investment is happening at this price and why such a similar (but less dynamic) company like Sourcebio is trading at 3 x cash whilst we trade at a third of that.

Haha no it’s specifically because PI100 posts every single day when the share price is falling but the last time I called him out for disappearing when the share price was recovering slightly he said he’d been very busy and tied up with work and that was the only reason.

If he gave your reason I’d let it slide but it makes me chuckle that he’s only ever busy at work on blue days.

We are talking about a forward looking PE of about 10... so it's not being valued as a growth stock now anyway.

Does it need to deliver double digit growth for new investors like me to see a healthy return from here? I'm not sure it does.

No I bought into avacta at 75p after the drop in early Jan and am now back to break even, will probably make a small top up tomorrow if it drops AM. This is an all or nothing for me as I love the favourable r/r even if it means potentially losing the lot...

£5/£1.3b is about the valuation that SNG will command if their nebulised interferon beta is approved for covid - if avacta is sold for the same price as that it would be a travesty.

wydnrum you still ignored the point I made. In your example Avacta merely stated they were in a strong cash position but did not EXPLICITLY state that there would be no near term fundraise whilst this time Alastair has - so there is a difference.

If avacta were to announce a placing next week then Alastair's comments in today's videos would be a lie whilst back in May 2020 that was not the case.

wyndrum I would say there's a massive difference - in May 2020 whilst they said avacta had a strong cash position they didn't categorically rule out a near term fundraise. The share price was also very strong at the time and so Alastair took the opportunity whilst it presented itself - with hindsight we can now say it was an excellent management decision.

This time around the share price is suffering and he's ruled out a near term fundraise - that to me suggests it certainly won't happen in the next couple of months...

It's taken a bit of time to get going but it's starting to look like Friday's news has indeed set a price floor and brought buying interest - now up about 10% following the LTIP rns and looking like it's going higher.

Disagree, it's all about momentum and tailwinds with this sort of stock. BTC has bounced well and showing signs of strength, what you needed here was a positive operational update to bring interest back and potentially a bit of a pump back to a more palatable level around the pound mark.

Obviously a lower than expected monthly mining figure isn't going to do that.

I wouldn't say so DRB, it suggests the market doubts covid testing has much of a future however even if that turns out to be true it isn't an existential threat to novacyt in the way it might be to others...

We will slowly start being considered a diagnostic business rather than 'covid stock' as details of what the future holds begins to be revealed - hopefully this comes in dribs and drabs before a more comprehensive strategy in April.

Euronext and LSE very much unaligned this morning - Euronext equivalent is currently 1.76 GBP and has been above 1.74 GBP all trading session.

No it isn't Ezzy, it very much was a year ago but the market appears satisfied that they are doing what they can to address it... after all the share price recovered to 370p POST the allegations...
