tkr, the big difference is that those 'covid stocks' are absolutely relying on covid contracts to keep afloat otherwise there will be even more discounted placings down the line. Look at ODX, they were trading at about 17p a month ago before sliding to 9.5p as the news around covid carried on lightening. Then Thursday rumours of a heavily discounted placing started circling which saw a steep sell off and then the following day the placing was announced, raising £7m at just 5p (same at 4p) taking the total number of shares in issue to 323 million from 182m and diluting current shareholders by a near 50% ! And what's worse a good percentage of that £7m is just to keep the lights on...
Six months ago ODX had the same market cap as we do today, I think our £120m is a tad more justified than theirs was then!
