Same here ValJu, it's good news and very positive for all those reasons. I agree about the share price but equally I was a bit surprised by the aggressiveness of buying yesterday so maybe it just wasn't ready yet to really make such a march just yet.

This should have put us back on many watchlists and hopefully we'll see the steady progress we were seeing after the LTIP continue again except this time from a base of 200p.

Another thing this TR1 has done is put to bed the stupid notion that nothing is going to happen between now and April. It's one thing hearing little after a CEO changeover, it's another just assuming 100 days more of silence and batting around ideas at HQ.

No there's likely to be lots going on and plenty of updates in the weeks and months ahead.

It certainly is a listed company.

There is no rumour of a takeover, there is some speculation over a merger or some sort of collaboration between leading POC specialists.

And it has gone up, almost 15% since the TR1 landed.

I think for some of us it's simpler than that and almost comical. There isn't a share price drop that PI100 hasn't been first to comment on, going back months and months. It's almost a comfort to me seeing him pop up with his 'this is tanking' type post and reminds me that we've been here before and we'll be here again!

Temuchin, it isn't that easy to walk away with 20% profit if you hold 3% of the company, the share price will fall at the first whiff of them selling out, the notification to say they are under 3% will see us crashing back to 1.50.

No there's no way they are doing this for a few hundred K profit.

ValJu I think that's the case but it gets abused all the time... I regularly see late TR1s by a good couple of weeks and on a few occasions a couple of months!

In this instance though they crossed the threshold Thursday and notified the company Monday so nothing untoward there.

I wasn't the one to criticise him so I think we're arguing over different things but I still wouldn't say PI100 has been correct, it's just his default position. No matter the news he'd be the same...even if pictures were leaked of DA shaking hands with Albert Bourla the Pfizer CEO he'd be urging caution and attempting to dampen our enthusiasm.

I agree with your sentiment but disagree that PI100 has called anything correctly. He didn't call the dip into the 190s today, it was already in the 190s when he said 'i'd hang on' and from there it's risen slightly.

We've surely got to take this as a sign that the DHSC dispute is of little concern to biosynex and if anything, might be seen as a positive (more cash in the kitty in the future)

I'm not sure it's going to be possible to accumulate a significant percentage of these shares without spiking the share price, there are too many traders on the sideline that will piggyback on any sudden rise or TR1.

If they keep buying this will keep rising.

Kaeren if they were buying novacyt as an investment, well, you could at least argue that an entity as deep in the business and sector as biosynex are saw the value as so good that they did something far removed from their usual business strategy...

Way more likely that they are accumulating for some other reason but either way it's hard to see this is anything but a positive.

Most on here aren't trading and are likely quite happy to hold whether 210p 190p or 240p, constant chart updates are more suited to twitter.

More than anything it's just pleasant to have a positive bb again, sometimes the negativity (however justified it may be) can be draining.

I'm not 60% down, I mean that's how far we're off the baseline figure that the company set just six or so weeks ago.

As I shared on here I went a bit crazy and trebled down around 1.90 and carried on buying all the way down to 1.58 - it's been hard trying to fight the negativity on here knowing that if it all goes t*** up i'm in a bit of a pickle but conviction might have paid off this time!

Won't be thinking about reducing despite being well overweight until more is revealed about this recent biosynex activity.

Ha Big did you see how much volume there's been recently? There aren't many traders that got in at 160, stock bought at that level would be LTHs doubling down and biosynex.

Baseline figure for the LTIP set just two months ago is £3.54 - still a whopping 60% off that.

The clueless twitter have-a-go traders probably sold for a 5-10% profit but anyone with a bit of knowledge of novacyt or AIM would never be selling or reducing before close today. I mean in the past year alone we've seen something like four 50% rises within about 5 trading days and on at least one occasion have risen more than 100% in as short a period as two weeks.

And this time the rise has started from the lowest base possible...

Not a chance this has anything to do with a hostile takeover or they would have been naughty and held off with the holding notification - if they carry on accumulating and notifying the market they'll soon be paying £2.50, then £3 then £4 a share and a company of their size simply won't be able to build much of a stake.

Hopefully we get some clarity soon but either way it's fun to have something going on here at last!

As far as catalysts go this is about as interesting a development as we could have asked for I think.
