I doubt traders will think much about it however until much closer to the next halving.

The halving cycle makes buying bitcoin outright FAR more attractive then buying into a miner that needs to double its computing power just to stand still.

Sure but as Hillseeker rightly pointed out at 08:52 they are fully incentivised to drive the share price well above that £7.70 threshold.

On the one hand many on here are saying novacyt has no chance of ever reaching £12 ever again and on the other they think bonuses should only be paid if they reach a target that many on here say will never ever be reached again...

I personally agree that it's a rather uphill challenge from here to become a billion pound company so £7.70 seems about right, if a little on the low side for the full remuneration.

If they do buy you can be rest assured the purchases will either be too measly for everyone's liking or folk will complain of corruption for bringing the share price so low and scooping up cheap shares.

Looking back I see I missed a tweet from BlackbirdInvest in Jan and so it appears evident they are still invested in novacyt - I very much apologise for suggesting otherwise, they are a very good twitter contributor and have every right to voice their disapproval over the LTIP.

They did not 'push the share price down to cash levels' unless you are suggesting that purposely reduced their revenue to just below forecast in 2021...

You are trying to discredit me now. After posting about ncyt almost all the time BlackbirdInvest I believe stopped tweeting for over a month - that is enough to suggest it's possible they had sold out on the recent update. It's an aberation at least compared to the past frequency of tweets, especially as they were continuing to tweet about other investments.

Whether he/she is still in or not I apologise for suggesting it.

Ps BlackbirdInvest stopped posting about ncyt and moved on to different shares so a very good chance they aren't still personally invested.

Wasn't this the second tranche of the LTIP? Good news that they've paid so much of that off and are still over £100m cash.

The only people that have lost near 90% are those that bought novacyt shares after a 10000% rise - if ever the term 'Invest At Your Own Risk' should be applied then I imagine it's after a 10000% increase in share price.

I can sympathise with those blaming Graham for that spike as an £0.5m open market buy means he played his part in the hype and excitement (I do think it was legitimate following that huge DHSC contract) but to judge a new CEO based on a very short spike nearly a year before he joined is a bit ridiculous.

My role is not share price guardian, if I am a bit concerned about the share price direction I may sell out and take a break from the BB, novacyt isn't my life. If I am posting it means I am invested and if I am posting regularly it probably means that I see the share price so undervalued that I've risked a large percentage of my money on it.

No I think £110m mcap vs £102m cash is a different situation to when they were valued at well over half a billion on the day of the dispute announcement.

Lots ignored the red flags and held on all the way down, probably due to an inability to accept selling at a loss - that isn't David's fault.

There was only brief periods where I've held no shares and I started buying back in WAY higher than we are today, so still a long way off break even.

There should be no such thing anyway as a LTH for a risky AIM pharma stock unless you have connections to the company, you owe them nothing.

No it isn't a ridiculous point - it means there is value down here to buy in or top up.

What matters is the decisions we make today, not moaning about what's gone before.

I think a target of a third of a billion mcap is fair - obviously very much achievable but not a given and still requires strong management over the three year period.
