When are next results due? Are we expecting good or bad?

Putin appears to have warned NATO and the US of a nuclear response if anyone tries to stop him. There will be many days ahead when global markets get absolutely hammered. This situation could drag on for months and get a whole lot worse before it gets any better. If that wasn't enough, Chinese military jets today flew into Taiwanese airspace. Will Taiwan be next to fall? Any recovery in the markets is likely to be very temporary indeed.

70s will be hit today for sure.. small chance of seeing 60s if global markets get really hammered over the coming days. Ted Baker results yesterday resulted in a strong bounce so not sure if we can expect similar with boohoo? Having said that, with so much sh*t going on in the world right now, the only way is down for the time being for most stocks.

I think anyone interested in investing in the cinema sector would be far better off investing in this, the world's largest cinema chain. Minimal debt, huge revenue, bright future ahead of it. This is what a well run cinema chain looks like!

Hi relatively new entrant, it's almost impossible to time entry perfectly so I wouldn't worry about being 10% down imo anything below £1 will, in time, prove to be a hugely profitable investment. I myself haven't bought in yet because I'm somewhat of a chartist and I see the share price bottoming somewhat lower probably in the 70s. I also expect the chart to flatline for x number of weeks or months before lifting off again later this year. I don't think we'll see a v-shaped recovery here, I think it'll hit the bottom then flatline allowing those patient enough to wait plenty of time to really load up at the lowest possible price.

I think many are just waiting for the knife to stop falling before they risk taking a position. So far the patient fence sitters have called it right!

Sore loser syndrome?

The chart's telling me otherwise Mahmas! The decline is slowing, I think this is beginning to bottom out but I suspect the bottom will be in the 70s not the 80s. I'm waiting for the chart to flatline - a firm base to form (the falling knife has finally stopped falling and the blade is stuck in the floor, safe to jump in)

Not great for existing shareholders but for those who are watching and waiting for the bottom, they're going to make an absolute killing when the tide turns and this starts to power back up. I'm one of those who are watching and waiting for the right time to buy in - but I won't make a move until it hits the bottom and flatlines. We're not quite there yet.

I think the markets are in for a rough time for as long as the Ukraine crisis carries on. I'm on the sidelines in a good cash position but even at these prices I'm reluctant to buy because world events may well send stocks even lower over the coming weeks and months.

It's not worth getting excited about a bounce ATM because the Russia situation is only going to get worse over the coming weeks. It'll blow over eventually and calm will return to the markets - until then though expect a lot of volatility.

The online retailers have been hit the hardest over the last few months, when the tide turns it is they who will experience the most dramatic recovery - online retailers are the future. Companies like ASOS, TED, BOO, CURRY'S and AO world. Cinema has a bright future but being invested in a poorly run, heavily indebted cinema chain is never going to be particularly rewarding for investors. Sometimes you just have to accept you backed the wrong horse and it's time to sell up and find something else that promises a better recovery.
