There's actually no reason to get emotional by a few "trolls" posting negativity. Let's face it, it isn't going to affect the share price. It would take huge numbers of small shareholders selling all at the same time, or a major holder offloading, to have any meaningful affect. Small time posters on a bulletin board isn't going to affect the share price whatsoever. These boards are for posters to post their thoughts - both for and against. So they're not breaking any rules posting negative views if that's how they feel about the stock. Shorting is legal in the UK so again, no law saying they can't short or that they can't post their negative views supporting their short position. What's important is holders understand it's not going to affect the share price - so relax about it. Filter if it gets on your nerves. But understand this, small time negative posters are not the ones driving the price down - the sector is going through a bad time, ASOS, Ted, AO world - they're all down just the same. It's got nothing to do with small time shorters or negative posters.
