danielh, Generally I am increasing my PF so buying rather than selling so want lower SP's
Yes when I want to sell I want bigger SP's. I have sold a few shares over the years, bad outlook, over PF %, move to ISA etc. I suppose the plan will be to take the income rather than sell and hope the income will see me through retirement and it grows faster then I spend it. I even allow myself to spend some of the divis should the need arise.
Mrs G has plans for a new kitchen, bathroom and wardrobes and I would like a new cinema room so I suspect Vod might be assisting in the efforts at some point. Its difficult to decide when to sell so dividends take that decision away and make it automatic and then I only have to work out when and what to buy.
I was hoping Kim would shake the markets more than he did, there is always next time or more noise. September is usually a negative month for shares and October volatile so maybe change to add something soon. Sell just before new year? Not sure it will be 270p though.
