stockplay, its always a balance trying to find the right price to buy. Do you take whats on the table or wait and hope for something better. I have had mixed results including here and not buying ULVR at £32 as it was too expensive only for a bid to push it even higher. Only you know your personal circumstances and reasons for buying. Probably not what most people want to hear but if this keeps falling and that yield keeps rising ....................... 193 ish sounds niceish for a top up with a 7% yield! Still its a long way off that yet and may not get there. As for year end Spikeyj, its normally on a high so I would expect a tad higher than this and sticking with my round numbers my uneducated guess would be 230. I expect that to be as accurate as my lottery numbers.

"The slow climb continues." Yes its been disappointing, I was hoping to at least buy back those I was "forced to sell" cheaper than they were sold for but bounced off before hitting my limit order. I should have just gone manual and accepted what was on the table. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Kim, Trump, Brexit all tend to push people here for safety so I might have to wait for Carney or Mr Market to help out before PF balance kicks me to pay the going rate or get left behind.

Months most likely but years? In some ways I wish they would start to raise rates and get back on a path to a more normal rate. I suspect many will fall but we seem to be delaying the inevitable which might kick the can down the road but might be much worse than it might have been. Drip Drip sounds sensible although I have been on a different tack of buying on dips and front loading some dividends ie investing them before receiving them. Rate rises, whenever they come might act negatively on SP's and be the push to add more when that yield rises a tad. Still that progressive dividend might take care of itself over time too.

Just watched a piece on Aerospace deal and RR was displayed, up 36 percent year to date. How much more would you expect? I suspect a pause for breath is much needed until expectations are exceeded.

Skindle, I find that rises in shares often happen after the benefit of being invested on the few days that shares rise most. You never really know when this will be, it might be a bid, update, contract or just something in the news but by not being invested you will miss out on those few occasions. Some have a bit more nouse, or can read the tea leaves better and can pick good times to get in and out and good luck to them. Until then I will stick to being invested and wait for the tide to lift me up. I suspect RR is still struggling to convert the fcf this year but should be good over the next couple ...... so more time than timing for me.

Nice to see the dividend has been paid but where to put it? Off to the pot until I can decide, suspect more nuke headlines might help push me sooner or later. More drainage for the S. West might be the cry getting closer to home and a bit more on topic

I think it depends on how you think SB will do with his new tack and if you can figure out what Magic Mike is playing at. If he keeps going, he will own Debs soon, I suspect SB and Mike wouldn't be best buddies but then money talks......
