Sorry “Shortly after the PFS”

The focus at Alpala is the delivery of a Preliminary Feasibility Study ("PFS") by year-end and a seamless transition into the delivery of a Definitive Feasibility Study ("DFS") shortly after this.

The wording of the paragraph above IMO seems to suggest that the DFS will be published shortly after the DFS which to me means Q1 next year (which is about 9 months earlier than some have speculated)

In respect of the combined size of the Placing and the Retail Offer, limiting the issuance to a maximum of 10% of the Company's existing issued share capital (5% unrestricted + 5% related to specified capital investments). In addition, the Company has taken into account certain other provisions of the Principles in implementing the Placing, in particular as regards prior consultation with shareholders, that the Placing is being undertaken on a soft pre-emptive basis and that the Company's management will be involved in the allocation process.

I’m intrigued by the bit about “5% unrestricted plus 5% of the placing being related to specific capital investments” which when taken with the statement that “the Company's management will be involved in the share allocation process” Does this infer that up to 5% of the offer can or could be allocated to a shareholder or holders at the discretion of management? I ask this question specifically with the Chinese in mind and wonder if this is a way of increasing their stake in Solg?

DBW - Yes I too was excited by the prospect of an MRE3 for Pov within the next few months! Quite amazing and really underpins Solgs excitement when they first sunk a hole into Pov including I think a quote along the lines of “There’s a company maker right there” ( or words to that effect) And let’s not forget that the SP spiked up to around 42p at the time of the first assays from Pov so really exciting times ahead in the next few months IMO

From the stuff I have read around politics in Ecuador it seems that the proportional representation system has proved a problem for many Presidents over recent years (including Moreno) hence the frequent use of Presidential Decree’s to cut through political impasses to get legislation enacted so guessing this will be how Lasso gets his policies through?

On balance the best result all round and hopefully as an Ex banker he will see the benefit of a strong economy supported by the wealth created from Ecuador’s natural resources including mining which could and should help to pay off their debts

The company is optimistic that the revised mine plan currently being studied as part of the PFS process could deliver similar metal production while mining significantly less material. This could result in potentially significant cost savings. The crushing, processing and waste storage requirements are also expected to be reduced accordingly as would, in this potential scenario, the upfront capex associated with these installations.

Anticipated benefits of the revised approach being studied include lower expected execution risks, lower expected pre-production capital and significantly reduced time to first potential production.

Having read the latest RNS I’m more confident than ever that the recent changes both in the board and the Alpala mine design will reap all shareholders a very handsome return on our investment! GLA

Looking back at the last 4 years (apart from 2019) there is a clear trend upwards from around 6th April usually till around the middle of May with the SP moving upwards typically by around 3 to 6p during this period. Personally I think pre Apr 6th some investors were taking the opportunity to sell and post a loss on their tax return hence the downward momentum in the share price and now we are seeing investors buying at these bargain prices for their ISA’s in the new tax year. Plus those investors who sold in March / early April will be waiting 30 days before buying back in which may help to explain why there is normally a sustained spike in the SP usually until the middle of May. Just my opinion but apart from 2019 there does seem to be a recurring trend as I have outlined.

True but by the same tocken they could have picked any one out of hundreds of penny stocks but they chose Solgold so for me that's a big positive and good PR for encouraging new investors

Both candidates appear to be pro mining but on balance Arauz is probably more so especially given his backing from the previous president Correra who was very pro mining and got mining off the ground in Ecuador so his protege is likely to follow a similar strategy which would be very good for Solgold

seem odd given the very positive RNS earlier this week especially the assay results from Pov which seem to get better with every drill hole! Looking forward to assay results from holes 8 to 11 which are complete so hopefully not long to wait! Against this positive backdrop can only assume investors are selling so they can post a loss for their 20/21 tax return which hopefully means stronger buying post 5th April? Everything I read about Solg makes me more confident than ever about my investment especially with the new board and eventually CEO in place and the strategy around jv’s and the long awaited Alpala PFS later this year. Have a good feeling that finally and not before time 2021 / 22 will see us reap the rewards of our faith in Solg! GLA
