IMHO BHP don’t want the present board to continue their tenure as the current policy is to fund raise Alpala construction with as little equity raising as possible which effectively prevents BHP gaining a stranglehold on Solg so they can aquire us relatively cheaply! We all need any bid to represent fair value for our investment and it’s as clear as day to me that BHP are doing everything they can to avoid such an outcome which is why I will support the current board at the AGM

DBW - As highlighted by another poster yesterday I believe this article has got its wires crossed and misreported what was clearly articulated in the RNS ( see extract below)

At the Company's last AGM less than a year ago, on 17 December 2020, Shareholders approved the re-election of two Directors and the election of four newly appointed Directors. At this year's AGM, scheduled for next month, I propose that the three directors who did not stand for re-election last year namely myself, the SolGold Chairman, Non-Executive Director Brian Moller and Jason Ward, SolGold's Executive Director in charge of operations in Ecuador, retire by rotation and stand for re-election pursuant to the SolGold constitution.

Our Company's interim CEO and Executive Director Keith Marshall has also requested to be put forward for re-election at next month's AGM to seek confirmation and endorsement of his contribution from Shareholders. As such I have added Mr Marshall to the roster for re-election meaning Shareholders will be asked to vote on the re-election of four (4) Direactors

Voting in support of BHP would be akin to voting for death by a thousand dilutions! With BHP / NCM in control how do you think they will raise the necessary finance to bring Alpala to production? You might as well put King Herod in charge of the nursery!! IMHO Anyone who thinks voting against the board in support of BHP is letting their emotions and frustration get in the way of pure simple common sense! Yes we are all frustrated by the lack of news but throwing the baby out with the bath water is definitely not the solution no matter how hacked off you may feel!

My take is that if BHP don't succeed and our current board remain intact then its game on for possible corporate activity in 2022 with the likelihood of a good pay day for shareholder's! However is they succeed then and manage to get a board which is more compliant to their wishes then in all likelihood shareholder's won't get their fare payday! So for me it's quite simple. Support Twigger and get a board who will stand up to BHP and get us fare value or don't and accept a fate which won't be anywhere near as rewarding

Hole 24 has encountered intense mineralisation within an early quartz-diorite intrusion from 507m depth. This zone is interpreted as an extension of the strong mineralisation encountered in Hole 13 and includes up to 85% B-type quartz-chalcopyrite veining with approximately 2% visible chalcopyrite and trace visible gold mineralisation.

So still waiting on assays from hole 24 which could really move the dial on the overall resource!

Ooo Err looks like Z has got his knickers in a twist after RK rightly spanked his a££ for his crassness in revealing the end of the new James Bond film before people had seen it! Hopefully these aren’t mere Xmas wishes but statements of fact as Solg has pretty much committed themselves to delivering all of these milestones before the end of the year!
The next 11 weeks SHOULD BE TRANSFORMATIONAL for Solg and it’s investors so let’s hope they deliver on their promises so we can all celebrate and have a Christmas to remember:)

Well last year it was published at 1pm on a Thursday and in 2019 it was 7am on a Friday so looking like it might be in the morning lol :)

I particularly liked the following paragraph:-

Maybe this is the hole referenced by RK's contact who described it along the lines of " the best hole ever drilled in S America" ( or something like that) Personally I'm very excited about what Assay's from hole 24 will reveal! If they are as good as RK's contact has allued to then it really could be Booooom time again for the Solg SP

HaHa :) Wish I could! But as a betting man (and let’s face it buying and selling shares is a bit like betting as there are never any guarantees that your investment will grow) I would suggest that those with decent holdings of Solg shares may indeed become wealthy sometime next year which in my book looks the most likely timing for a bid for Solg :)

Actually it was me who highlighted only 1.86 miles from Alpala which is literally on the doorstep! But put another way Mathersfingers Tam is only 3,000 meters from Alpala which is less than 8 times around a running track! Now put that way it might as well be grouped in with Alpala which is pretty much what is likely to happen early next year once an MRE is published for Tam which will be incorporated within a revised PFS for Alpala

Good morning Mathersfingers. Couldn’t agree more with your post but on the plus side Tandy is only 3km from Alpala which is 1.86 miles! It’s literally on the doorstep so as you rightly pointed out its ideally located to share infrastructure costs! All the stars seem to be aligning for Cascabel which increasingly looks like a district of Tier 1 mines!
