If ORPHs immune modulator can help long covid sufferers then this is absolutely huge. I say that not just as an investor, but as someone with friends who have been very seriously impacted by long covid. It is hard to estimate numbers as much goes undiagnosed / unreported. I've seen estimates between 10% and 30% depending on criteria. Even if it is 5% that is a huge number of people.

Quick take away before I return to my wine...
- CF acknowledged the issues with Finncap - let's see what happens, but good to see the acknowledgement - AND very interesting to hint at a Chinese buyer for Invesco? Sounds like a serious conf call tomorrow morning (the major Chinese Pharma players and the Chinese regulator)
- Very bullish on C19 approval (I personally think this is a done deal anyway - written into vaccine taskforce planning - but good to hear)
- Disease in Motion - brilliant to see this productized (and with a decent brand name) but will still need C19 approval before launch IMHO. This remains the biggest potential imho - this space is huge! First mention of wearables as a spinoff.
- Still have a controlling interest (my words - but that was my impression) in Imutex. Personally very pleased to hear this as had some reservations about the ConservBio rebrand as Seek have the majority stake. This was a welcome update.
- One of the non core assets to be monetised soon. IMO, sounded as though this isn't imutex. But given the mutations in C19 prep might have a major potential role?

Once again - stella presentation. CF is super excited for the future and addressed most of the areas where I was keen for an update. A reminder of why I am happy to be invested here...

Also, Finncap's stated figure for 2021 Challenge Study revenue seems very wrong to me.
Finncap expect 16m from tradition (assuming non-covid) studies in the original facility. Just a quick glance through the recent RNSs shows a 2.5 and 4.3 million contracts for work in 2021. If we are at full capacity then I believe there will be approximately 12 studies a year... (please someone correct if I'm off here - trying to do too many things at once this morning). Even at the 2.5million value that is 25million revenue - and with some higher value contracts, considerably more.
If a PI with a few spare minutes can point out Finncap's figures could be at least 50% then they have a serious question to answer about their competency!

It will be very interesting to see what happens today and the next few days...
This adds almost 80% (24bed + new 19bed) to the current capacity in Whitechapel. That is a significant amount of new revenue!
(I would normally caveat that last sentence with 'potential revenue' but as it is already booked for H1, I'll just say 'revenue' :-)

This almost doubles Orph's Whitechapel capacity, is next door (so reduces potential overhead considerably) and is leased - so no large capital expenditure. This is absolutely fantastic!

Very exciting times - there is a lot of news to come out...
Firstly, there appears to have been some serious scaling up. The existing facility in Whitechapel was already booked out for 12-18 months before:
- the new screening centre in Manchester
- the new large screening centre in Whitechapel ("large, multi-use space... with ample hot-desking " from RNS)
- whatever is happening at the Whitechapel hotel?
- the multiple new clinical staff roles advertised on LinkedIn
- bringing in a 'contract specialist' legal counsel

Secondly, there are the 'non core assets':
- Imutex, which now seems to be packaged into a new vehicle (ConservBio)
- PrepBioprarm, which, given the latest news about mutations, may have an important future role as a prophylactic!

Thirdly, the 'core asset' spin-offs
- Infectious disease database
- wearables (though I suspect the exact nature of this deal will hinge on the C19 trials approval. It will happen, but the announcement timescales sit outside of ORPH, imho)

And Fourthly (last week I wasn't expecting a 'Fourthly'... but this is Open Orphan and Mr. CF :-)
- apparently we are involved with a CE marked, 10 minute Covid test.

I don't expect everything to be announced tomorrow. Perhaps just some detail on the scaling up and hints about the rest (there are going to be serious commercial restraints on what can be said about pending deals) but I'm excited enough to have set aside a very good bottle of red wine for the presentation.

Yep. Apparently down over 4% on a volume of 137,000 shares and 31 trades.
9 of those trades are for 50 shares or less. FFS.

I wonder what sort of growth your PI thinks is missing?
The main part of the business is the testing of vaccines. So far CF has filled the existing facility, secured a government facility and is in the process of securing a 3rd (and possibly 4th facility).
He has also scaled up recruitment with 2 new shopfront operations.
The job vacancies on the Hvivo website speak for themselves (currently over 20 positions)
CF has indicated that all this is at minimal cost.
For me this is all positive growth.
What is the alternative - buying / building a very costly quarantine facility? What do you think that would do to the share price...?
Additionally ORPH is written in to the Government's Vaccine Taskforce plan and has also leading the HIC VAC, Welcome Trust Consortium - further positioning them as the absolute leaders in the field.
Then there are the future challenge agents in currently in development.

There is plenty of growth here if you look for it and don't try and judge ORPH by the same criteria as a firm that makes pipes.

I think you mean if 'the shareholders' sell the company, Bronxville. That isn't just down to CF.

Cracking find ST. I was having a good Saturday anyway - but this has definitely improved it :-)

Just my opinion, but I took the RNS to signal the end of Invesco's selling for now. That and the fact that they sold almost exactly 25% of the existing holding. To me this looks like a planned 'de-risk'. Taking some money now and leaving 75% in to sell at a higher price later on.

And I agree that this is big news - because if approval is granted for using the live (attenuated) virus then it is not a huge leap to approval for the Government sponsored Covid challenge trials. IMHO.

It was actually a fairly reasonable RNS till they started going after Dr Cave. You know, the same DR Cave whose products attracted the vast majority of shareholders to this stock!
IMHO, the board are now sh*tting it. And by attacking the good doctor, they have doubled down on an untenable position.
