Anyone who thinks this is a positive RNS needs to look at the reporting of ‘gross’ and ‘net’ cash position compared to previous years. Then think about why they have chosen to report in this way, this year.
In fact, read the whole thing again. Critically.
The last deal they did was with Riverfort
I completely agree Potnak.
Get a good licensing deal, with enough cash up front get 1802 into the clinic... and have a decent cash runway for a few years. Then let a bigger player take on the further development of 1801.
I have zero faith in the Sareum board at this point. Having a more experienced partner involved would be a massive plus in my opinion.
In my opinion they are gone - except for the warrants which will be forward sold at a time of their choosing and we will hear via RNS after it is done.
Mathsprof has done a good job of keeping an eye on the numbers (as much as anyone can).
The current fluctuations in price are the Share finding it's level.
IMHO.
A colleague has suggested to me (and for the record, I'm not sure I subscribe to this view) that the consolidation was a deliberate play to make dilution and a possible take-over easier... and that they already had Riverfort in mind as the executioner.
Well done Carrots - that's a tidy profit :-)
Enjoy.
Another late reported trade - 800,000 more (Riverfort) shares done... and it isn't even that noticeable. Things have really changed for the better.
This was £1 when the Riverfort funding was announced. The descent to 10p was almost entirely due to the 'deal' with Riverfort.
Now that the danger from Riverfort has been neutralised (they ain't entirely gone, and it has been costly, but they are no longer a threat) then the SP is correcting accordingly. In fact, given how long the Phase 1a trial has been going on (and the implied positivity from this) the SP should have been increasing not decreasing over the last 9 months.
I don't think there is any 'leak' just a rerate... and the market is waking up to this.
Hi Moniman - I've had similar thoughts. It feels like someone (or some institution) might be accumulating at the 10p mark. Certainly feels like a lot of buys without much upward movement on the price. Interesting :-)
Why take profit when it got to 9p old money?
Given that shareholders have bailed them out... Not only by oversubscribing to the rushed WRAP, but also by soaking up the ridiculous number of shares Riverfort have been offloading (from an arrangement that strikes me as criminal, in the figurative sense - and possibly the literal sense too...). How about a simple statement from the board letting everyone know what is paid / due to Riverfort?
If you're reading this Board of Directors... come on, how about it?
Panic? What panic? There is b*gger all volume being traded this morning
Everyone is waiting to see what happens Friday morning when the RF shares become available. There might be a load of negativity on Thursday :-) but, as I and a few other posters have already suggested, the shares may have been forward sold.
So maybe not much volume today and tomorrow...
Depends if they still hold shares... that may tip them over.
Though personally, I suspect this tranche has been forward sold
I've said before - there is a serious appetite for share at this level. Almost 12 million bought through the WRAP (with many unable to purchase through their broker). RF are no longer the threat they were. Even if they go into full 'fire-sale' mode, I don't see a problem.
(for the avoidance of doubt - I don't think the current share price is anything but a disaster. Just that the spectre of RF / lack of funding driving the company into administration has gone)
I like this bit a lot.
"Our current £80 million weighted orderbook is highly diversified, with work contracted across 7 challenge agents and 11 HCT clients, substantially reducing the impact to hVIVO of potential postponements or cancellations."
Overall a very strong performance. As expected.
Sorry to hear that NST - I hope everything works out for you...
Hi Potnak - I completely agree. And that's a good thing in my opinion...it is good to have liquidity in a share.
And as little as 3 months ago the SP was 5 times the current level. There is a lot of room for upside in the short - and the middle term.
I don't see RF causing any further damage (the damage has already been done). Also, there seems to be a huge appetite for shares at this price so even if they do have more to sell, they'll get snapped up.
The WRAP was almost 4 times oversubscribed, with a very short window and many brokers not engaging.
Hell, even I'm buying - and up until a week ago I though I was watching a slow motion, car-crash that I would never buy back into.
It's tragic that this is the baseline because it really didn't have to be...
However, I do believe it is the baseline and news will send this upwards. Possibly rapidly.
I'm currently wondering what 137,500 shares in the company progressing 737 are actually worth? I've not seen this talked about much here (apologies if I've missed this - I'm not on the boards as much these days) but, given the terms of the previous Sierra agreement, I suspect it isn't peanuts.
