How long will it be before they divest themselves of Primer Design? The market for RUO tests is a crowded sales place with minimal return. Development of any clinical tests has already been moved from Primer Design to Yourgene Health. Genomic and precision medicine tests offer far more opportunities for sales in a growing market. So many medical treatment decisions are now being made on such tests.

This is the report I mentioned a few days that was co authored by Jo Martin (NHS )and Stephen Kidd (NHS) .In it they compared several rapid PCR systems that were on the market late 2020 to early 2021. If you look at page 12 it shows the validation of 483 samples in the NHS using Exsig Direct. Then if you scroll down to page 15 article 13 infers that this information regarding Exsig Direct comes from in service evaluation November 2020.

No wonder KC Twigger says the case is thoroughly bad.

Before it's launch in late July 2020 Exsig Direct was validated in a leading clinical lab. They tested 400 samples and the results provided sensitivity and specificity of 99%.

What validation work did the DHSC do before they entered into the contract? Did they use the results from the Queen Mary University care homes trial of Exsig Direct or the results of in house NHS validation work that was taking place two months before the contract was signed? They surely didn't sign the contract with zero due diligence!

Gizmo, the test comprised the Exsig Direct RNA extraction kit and the genesig COVID test . One year on from the the period you are talking about the COVID tests was still detecting all known variants according to the weekly surveillance report.

It's worth remembering that Exsig Direct is a kit to extract RNA from from a COVID test sample. This was developed to reduce the lab extraction time from around 40 minutes to 5. Once this preparation has taken place the actual PCR test is performed using the standard genesig single gene COVID test .These tests sold in the millions around the world with the NHS labs receiving 288,000 a week from the end of April 2020.

Were the NHS preparing the samples properly?

Were they using the correct swabs to obtain a sample?

Were they using the buffer supplied in the kit to inactivate the virus? Failure to do so would compromise the sample preparation.

When obtaining a saliva sample was nil by mouth observed for a period before the sample was taken?

Lot's of questions that need answers.

Finally why would several of the Novacyt directors be busy buying shares in the company six weeks into the contract if things were as bad as the DHSC are trying to portray?

Hi Kaeren, I read recently that contracts with the DHSC exceeding 10 million had to go through the cabinet office .The redacted contract was signed by the chief commercial officer test and trace.The dates involved point to this being a person who had only started in that role September 2020 after a move from the cabinet office. I wondered who higher up gave the clearance for signing.

Who at the Cabinet Office signed off the DHSC contract in September 2020?

It's also worth noting that the manual that accompanied these tests contained the following instructions.

How did the DHSC meet these requirements when the tests were sent to hospitals? Did they plan to move staff from the larger labs to be trained how to use the Q16s and Q32s devices at a time when there was not enough staff to go round.

Hi Wilson, with Novacyt moving the reporting of the accounts to sometime before the end of May there will be a four week closed period prior to that .Plus there is a lot of info relating to the dispute that is not in the public domain. So I can't see any opportunity for them to buy until the accounts are published and the final resolution for the dispute announced.

Hi Handy111, it looks like they've settled for the easier option of reaching a market cap of 100 million instead of going for sales of 100 million. Should the DHSC dispute rule in their favour they'll have to really mess up not to reach this target at the end of 2026. What price would LR really like his shares to be?

P100 why do you not mention any sales from the Yourgene health side of the business in your turnover figures?
