Hi Kaeren, when Novacyt held their AGM there was no mention in the presentation of them moving into the STI testing market .Yet two months later they announced they had signed the deal with Clonit after successfully validating their STI tests on the Q's. Maybe they were influenced in prioritizing the STI tests ahead of respiratory and gastric tests by this August report from the World Health Organization.

KT, thanks for the link to the extraction instrument. Up to 48 samples can be processed, with a run time between 15 and 60 minutes. If you take a look at Veon Scientific there is another product you'll recognize.
Regarding the assays from Clonit that will be used with these two products we were told on September 29th that the company now have access to over 40 tests from Clonit for Respiratory , Sti, Gastric, Transplant and Insect bourne infections. At that time Clonit didn't appear to have any tests for gastric infections in their portfolio. However just over a week later Clonit announced they had bought the Italian company Experteam who happen to have 7 gastric tests in their catalogue. Are these the ones that Novacyt will be using?

Neil, thanks for a sensible post .Some people don't seem to understand what all those new tests announced the other week mean to the company , or maybe they do.

Why did Mehul Vora give up a successful career as a research associate at Waksman Institute of Microbiology (Rutgers) in the US to come work for Novacyt in the UK last October .Over more than a decade he has published numerous research papers along with colleagues and he still appears to be involved with more recent research since joining Novacyt.One of these colleagues from Rutgers is professor Christopher Rongo who is connected on LinkedIn to Mehul and two other members of Novacyt staff. At Novacyt Mehul now heads a separate team within the r+d department. What exactly is Mehul working on with his team at Novacyt?
