Hardly. In December 107mn shares were sole to investors at 10.5p. It would be very surprising if there was no liquidity in the shares now that the price has got back above 10.5p, especially given the huge changes in the market since then thanks to Trump etc.

The question is therefore how many of these 107mn will come back on to the market……and l’d guess at perhaps 20-25mn could be prised from holders fairly easily before there is more news. I’d expect a week or two of little price movement whilst that recycling takes place - so I’d think we’ll get volumes averaging about 4-5mn a day for the rest of the month.

That is indeed the overriding message from yesterday, Chester. The NHS and Government have seen enough evidence to back it. Furthermore, they are backing iSCIB1+, which tells you that it is performing at least as well as SCIB1 in the trials.

I suspect that the fact that the relevant minister has had melanoma herself will also have helped.

As for the AACR etc, I think we will see the company demonstrating that they now know the genetic settings in which their treatment works best…..

The point about buy-and-hold, RR, is that those of us doing that here have their eyes totally focused on the end-game. What happens in the meantime literally doesn’t matter.

None of us can foretell the future, particularly when it comes to the corporate ambitions of major drug companies - all we know is that there are dozens that could easily afford the cash to buy companies that cost a hundred times as much as Scancell’s current market cap.

He can dump as much as he likes. People will be queuing up.

Buy/sell indications by ADVFN and others are based on whether the trade is nearer the bid or offer at the time when the trade was published. Since large trades can have publication delayed for hours or even days, the market price at time of publication is utterly irrelevant.

However, it is not important - unless it results in a holdings disclosure.

And it also suggests that progress is being made in identifying genetic markers which may help work out where cancer vaccines (not purely Scancell’s) will work best.

My guess is there will be some big trades printed between now and the last trade reports. Size deals done now can be reported after 16.30.

Whatever one’s opinion of the messenger, he’s right on this. The herd are mainly too busy grazing elsewhere, but there will be institutional interest, especially as a series of news events have been laid out for 2025 and now have added accelerants for events due to NHS/Government involvement.

If an overhang from estates still remains, expect it to be taken out.

I would suspect that this has been under discussion for at least a couple of months. I spent some time trying to get government to pay attention when my (now departed) MP was Minister of Health, so I know it at least it got into the DHSS system at that point……but that was years ago.

As noted earlier, it may have been on Phil’s radar as early as January - but I would guess it was the Trump tariffs which accelerated it up the agenda. In that case, a large number of people would have been on the inside for at least a couple of weeks.

Clearly, though, this was a very professional PR job (except for the accidental leak on Friday night)…….and all the more so because the government has bought into the vaccine. If you are doing something that involves the PM, the press generally try to do it properly - or they don’t get further stories.

If you look back to Phil’s comments is January, he flagged transformational partnerships in 2025 - and it could be that getting the buy-in from the NHS, government and Starmer personally is what he had in mind.
