Re Genmab, I think the “regular updates” are either annual in December or six-monthly.

I’m always struck, on days like this, how clever those who wait and wait and wait are……(not).

At some point quite soon, even non-Execs like Diggle will be deemed to have inside info on the trials. Perhaps there is a board meeting imminent at which there will be an update?

This is a new Vulpes sub-fund, I think.

Company option to redeem after three years tells me clearly that the company will be sold by 2029. Effectively the loan is a cheap bridge.

I’m interested to know how they suddenly “have access to” the data from analogues…….

I’d like to think that positive trial results from Modi-1 have identified a new research pathway…..but who knows?

But your point is important - because they clearly feel it is worth spending money on. So….why?

The main thing I’d be interested in re this, is why they undertook this research? What prompted it? What are the objectives? Where do they hope this will lead commercially!

Yes the UK/India trade deal can’t be anything but positive. Not yet signed or implemented, of course, but should be a win-win for those like Cyan who have an existing presence in India. Indeed perhaps we will discover that it is even better than we might suppose.

Just FYI, at the AGM last year, I was the only smaller investor there. And there was only one other, who was the brother of the former chairman.

Similar to the very first AGM I attended in 1999, when I was also the only private investor there.

At a number of AGMs pre-Covid, there were 25-30 shareholders attending…..

BMS is simply giving the same, pretty ineffective, drug to patients in a similar way to Scancell’s delivery. If Scancell’s treatments continue to be substantially more effective than BMS’s, then the concept of easy to administer cancer treatments will already have been pioneered for us.

It is all about greater efficacy, for both iSCIB1+ and Modi-1. Once greater efficacy has been proven, the world should beat a path to our door.

The pipeline is now in the government budget. That is a very important development and was clearly being awaited. I’d expect further news soon.

Sadly it turned out she was more interested in writing about people who bought FTSE100 stocks on the Tariff Dip, rather than those who topped up on Scancell and writing about tomorrow’s growth opportunity (which had been the only topic of my comment that she purported to be investigating). I don’t think Scancell would have been discussed with BMS in a million years. But the interesting thing is that the government seem to think there is mileage for them in promoting cancer treatments, including those originating in the UK - and that is a very clear step forward for Scancell.
