The one positive is Hainan massively need this spod to feed their plants. So if they are playing hardball it’s rather foolish for the sake of $15m which in the grand scheme of things is pretty small.

V true Lav. I think perhaps why some people are rather miffed is it was confirmed that kodal would be on the 2019 mining code (via an RNS and in all communication). The government then decided not to allow this and put Kodal on 2023. I do think that’s rather poor of them to promise one thing and deliver another. But for the sake of keeping them happy we lose 7 per cent of the project so for me not a big issue.

True, I’m thinking that Herbert would again reject 33p? However if it’s close to 40p it would be silly not to consider…

Also fwiw I do agree Leo’s project had massive benefits for Mali as a whole, and think investors were hard done by. I think perhaps the board made a few key poor decisions, the overall project is fantastic and looks a v slick operation.

Yep exactly George. If we assume Mali govt would have taken full 20 per cent based on 2019 then in effect kod’s share has reduced by 7 per cent not 12. Need to ensure like for like her focca if you are doing this analysis correctly.

It is what it is, I’d rather get the green light and start producing even if we have lost a bit of the project to the govt. play the long game not do what Leo did and mess up their relations with the govt. look what happened there…critical to get on with the govt. that’s what is positive with kod, clearly they have a strong relationship with them and will benefit all holders long term for other potential projects.

No probs 100notout and yes I do agree it is frustrating especially considering we were assured that we would be on the 2019 mining code. However it shows that the African governments really do hold the power here, and think it is wise for KMUK to work with them to appease, and get the feeling if you don’t fall in line they just won’t approve permits etc. the thing is no one really knows what will happen and if you have had enough that’s your call and I don’t think you should be bashed for doing so. Hopefully you can do well on other shares too, it’s hard to pick winners! All the best 👍

Hi Basher, I don’t discuss other shares here but yep I bought FRG towards the start so I’m quite a bit down. Agreed long term should play out ok.

For all the pessimistic people here they aren’t forced to hold. They can sell and I’m sure many people are happy to mop up their shares. Long term I’m still very happy to be a kod holder.

Also don’t you know the macro economic factors aren’t great at the moment ie after labour’s tax raid? Most shares are struggling at the moment. Therefore a good time to buy the right stock.

I’m a long term investor. All I care about is what the price is in a couple of years. If you think the share price will be lower than it is now this time next year I’ll wager a lot of money on it that you’ll be wrong.

Hi Roger65, I strongly disagree with what you have said here. Find us another AIM stock that is months away from production, is more than fully funded and can pivot across 2 minerals? Probably one of the safest and lowest risk aim shares. If you think it’s risky you shouldn’t be dabbling in aim and instead invest in the ftse 100.
