Hi Fester so main priority is lithium as it stands but gold isn’t being forgotten. Precious JORC was 350z for Fatou, here is a good summary. Lots of work to be done to get a revised JORC but gold I imagine will continue to at the very least hold its price so it’s a significant deposit.

Ps Daz asked a qu in today’s session re further detail on funding required as cash flow stage 1 won’t cover stage 2 build. So Bernie hopefully will answer this.

The general consensus is that once lithium prices hit $1300 the vast majority of mines then become profitable. At these low prices KMUK actually make a profit. Hence I’d say a pretty sensible investment but Dyor. Of course Mali is high risk relatively, I’ve decided it’s worth the high risk.

Says it’s very likely loss making at $800 pt. I’ve read other articles saying cost was around $1300 pt.

KMUK aisc is $647 pt, one of the lowest globally.

Plus a lot of the news flow recently re Mali is to do with miners who have not been playing ball with the government and bending the rules. KMUK has done everything the Mali govt wants and obeyed all rules. Quite different.

Well said Savs, it’s a shame as yes used to be a good board that was also balanced. But some people are clearly here with an agenda, to scare the weak into selling so that they push their entry price down. Won’t work for me, it’s clear of the huge opportunity here with a long term mindset. Yes there will be bumps in the road but happens to all shares. There are very few aim shares more than fully funded with additional exploration funds months away from production at a price that’s significantly under the $17m Hainan paid (was 0.5 I think). It’s clear some of them haven’t done their homework and just come across as childish and argumentative. Bring on a few months time with us actually producing 👍

The drilling has confirmed the continuity and depth extension of the core pegmatite veins that mark the extension of the Boumou prospect. The drilling programme has also highlighted a fault zone that may control an offset of the pegmatite zone and highlight further exploration opportunities.

Also we may well get some nibbles after the pres tomorrow. Let’s not forget retail investors will rarely invest in junior miners as far too much risk. Kodal is much further along and months away from being a producer and is fully funded. That hopefully should get some large retail investors taking a position…we will see! All coming together nicely…

I agree 100notout, I don’t pay attention to people like Meyer, I do my own research and he’s got a lot of stuff wrong.

I agree though in that absolutely I think Bernie needs to clear up the $15m payment issue and also stage 2 floatation funding. And we need assurance relationship is still strong between Hainan and kodal.

Also the next ship should be arriving at Ivory Coast anytime…they said mid Nov (think transport is around 1 week travel). Then final ship due to dock mid Dec. So hopefully lots of positive news flow to come.

Ps piedmont managed to secure spod at $878 for last q, above what’s reported on metals.com. Based on our aisc of $647 that is a health my profit.

Can’t read full message but we said this would happen.

Guys I’ve reworked calcs in light of Kodal now receiving 31.85 per cent.

Based on $1kpt lithium which I think is conservative….$647 aisc. $65m DMS build and $175m floatation.

Kod profit stage 1 £77m

Kod profit stage 2 £426m

Question marks therefore remain on funding for stage 2 ie build $175m c£131m if lithium is c $1kpt. This is based on current resource and as we know likely to show an increase.

However to all the people who say the project is not viable you can’t argue with facts…

This also doesn’t include any gold, lots of work to do there but previous JORC resource was over £700m revenue at todays prices ie 350k Oz. Clearly that isn’t profit and there will be costs but it’s a decent resource.
