I agree Teddy, it can still come good. Issue that I have is they have been messing around with rat for so damn long. Plus I’ve lost trust in Herbert, he lied on many occasions (remember him saying the offtake is exciting and shareholders will be v pleased). I still think it was a large Chinese company perhaps BYD but only would happen if ratification was granted. Mali got greedy increasing from 20 to 35 per cent stake. Zimbabwe increasing to 26 per cent stake. Ghana is currently 10 per cent at Atlantic has agreed to go to 12.5 per cent isn’t it? So as you say I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s amended upwards sharply “for the good of the people” so they’ll say. That’s my concern, especially with Mahama in power. Greed is increasing in Africa for sure. If rat passes as it stands I am piling back in.

Who knows what will happen, it may come good here…looking at the positives even though I was down and sold at a loss, it’s not as bad as my investment in cadence minerals where I had enough and cashed out 95 per cent down!! learnt the hard way and realised a lot of the board of AIM companies are just in it for themselves. Unfortunately this is happening across all of Africa, take Zimbabwe too. They’re all at it trying to negotiate a larger slice. I couldn’t take anymore so sold at a £10k loss on Friday. I may be wrong of course and should have held but my trust in the Ghana government has gone and I worried that they will follow other African countries especially with the new government in place. For me I am a new investor here, bought at the spike and invested just over £50k yesterday at a 1.35 average. I didn’t foresee such a big drop (you get them wrong sometimes) but looking at NAV still even at what I’ve bought at it’s a significant discount in a market that will only gain more interest. Potential here is great if some of the projects come to fruition. I am hopeful of getting to 3 minimum in the next year providing more assets are realised. You can call me mad if you want I don’t mind though. Boards are here for discussion so happy to hear all thoughts…

Hi Aimhigherstill, actually I’ve done my own analysis on this stock and think over the next few years it will do well. For me it’s an accumulate and hold. Plenty of upside here. Always going to be profit takers, but for me anything sub 1.5 is worth a long term hold.

I’ve learnt today to not trust anything on X and only go via RNS. It’s easy to get caught up in it and as we can see lies were spread. I’m not saying it won’t come good here, and wish all investors well. Just be careful on what’s said on X and definitely do your own research. If you think it’s worth the punt go for it and if not wish you well. Understand a few are pssed off here but let’s try to be kind, life it too short.

Unfortunately there are a number of companies that operate like this. Reminds me of cadence where I’ve lost a fair whack. This is aim after all. Trust has gone now with the CEO, shame. It may well come good here but trust in a CEO is the biggest thing for me.

Also may I remind you old MRE of Fatou gold was 350k oz. At todays prices £729m of revenue. That’s one of our gold products. Of course there will be an associated cost to mine plus Mali govt may negotiate up to 35 per cent but clearly a lot of opportunities for some large profits here.

Let’s say 125k x 4 years makes 500k of spod with av selling price $947 pt (think that’s fair) that makes around $300 pt profit. That makes $98m to KMUK. Need $175m so yes there is a hole. However that’s not huge amount in the grand scheme of things. Hainan are part of fosun and they are huge so they could comfortably cover that so I’m really not bothered…plus we may have news on gold by then / lithium prices may recover a bit more. But to say valuation of kod is £7m is crazy.

I suggest you don’t calculate a company’s valuation with one year’s production….that is just stupid. Add it all up across stage 1 and 2 and you’ll see some big numbers.

Although Ghana only taking 13 per cent at the moment. But need ratification of their lease. Just shows investing in Africa can be tricky (patience very much required) and kod isn’t alone with issues we have have faced. Both will do long term imo.

Hi Londonmarket here is the latest info. I think from memory second $7.5m needs to be paid end March so enough time to sort out who pays it.

The first half of the US$15m settlement payment under the MoU has been made by KMUK to the Mali Government following the half year end concerned and the licence transfer process is expected to be completed shortly. Kodal and Hainan Mining Co., Ltd ("Hainan") are continuing discussions regarding which group entity will have ultimate responsibility for the settlement payment to the Mali Government. At the current time the Company cannot determine the outcome of the discussions, and hence the nature or amount of any payments or concessions that might be required, if any, and which may result in an economic outflow from the Company.

Hi current price is £2078 pt. So makes £727m. However bear in mind that there will be a cost to extract plus Mali would take up to 35 per cent. And likely Hainan would take a slice too. But bearing in mind that’s just one of the projects, no doubt Kod is sitting on a load of £.
