I think there is some confusion on the mining code. Previous 2019 code stated that Mali gets 10 per cent free with an option to buy a further 10 per cent. New mining code states that Mali gets 10 per cent free with an option to buy a further 20 per cent with a further 5 per cent potentially given to locals. So the only guarantee is Mali will get 10 per cent free which has not changed. If they do want to buy a further 20 per cent this is not simply given to them…they’ll have to stump up a decent amount of money.

Yeah not sure we will necessarily see a blue day…but one thing we know is overall market sentiment for lithium is finally turning positive. It’s been the hardest hit commodity for some time now so I’m happy at last we see some green shoots!!!

So bit of a punt but as far as I can see £5m is pretty crazy. Placings were done at 0.065 and hugely over subscribed netting £250k? These attacks happened 163km away from Bougouni so whilst they are absolutely awful it shouldn’t really affect kodal too much. Majority of issues are in northern Mali.

Agree, the one thing that will continue to be an issue is range anxiety and poor infrastructure still in the UK. In reality most EVs have ranges of 200 miles plus, how many trips do you do over this in one go…not many. More people will get home chargers I imagine but EV infrastructure needs to improve for more people to buy EVs here.

Totally agree carpymick. I fully understand why some are annoyed but the number one rule for long term investing is patience. I’ve learnt that the hard way many times. Good luck all, hopefully not long to wait…

Still a v healthy holding my friend. I’m waiting until my Atlantic lithium shares get back to break even so I can load more in here…gambled on them getting ratification! Africa hey…yes trucks on site, get in there…3 months until we get stuff out of the ground hopefully! Not long at all.

Here is the license due to be transferred. Mali are as far as I am aware working through a ton of applications and license renewals so we don’t know when the transfer will be complete. Hopefully soon. Also here is another article which may help…we’re on the previous mining code though.
