If I'm honest most people n our office dont give a dam about getting the extra hour this year. If it came to a ballot about industrial action over it , a majority would vote against it.

The public may not care about you in Wolverhampton but they do in most offices. That's why millions of people put pictures in windows thanking posties , and loads came in to delivery offices with cards, cakes ,sweets etc to say thank you. The Tory Government has already had to relationalise on the railways, and like I said , if royal mail failed it would be the end of the Tories. As for E mail, I didn't know you could send a parcel by E mail. Large swathes of Britain still aren't covered by couriers, and many remote areas that are have to pay more. As for your constant gripes about workers and bad management. You have been told many times what to do about it on here, by going higher up the company but seem incapable of doing it. You would rather spout off on an investment forum.

We aren't BA , you forget one massive thing, the general public would go mad and Royal Mail through a lengthy strike would go bust . Government would force Royal Mail board to sort it out or tell them it would be renationalised. A government allowing the collapse of Royal Mail to happen would be an EX government very quickly. Millions of people and businesses still rely on Royal Mail every day because there is and never will be an alternative.

As we edge towards £2 , whatever happened to Mr Nation(think that was his name) who went on about it every day. I actually think we could go above it this week. With positive news coming out over talks and share scheme buying this week , plus economy not as bad as 1st thought, could it break that barrier?

Banks not looking good, plenty of bad debt on the way. Supermarkets , sanitizer makers and companies like Royal Mail look decent bet.

So still no facts apart from postal part is losing money. GLS is part of RMG. Royal Mail will only be gone if GLS is given away for a silly price. Royal mail postal side has only made a loss due to profits being reinvested in technology, to make us more profitable in the future. If Royal Mail went bust the government is obliged to step in and re-nationalise Royal Mail. So up to now you have offered nothing to an investors forum , except your opinions on one office in the whole of Royal Mail , at a company that you have worked for a short time. You seem to have no knowledge of how businesses work , or how they negotiate with unions. You clearly hate unions , let's hope you never need the CWU if you have an accident on duty or a member of the public makes allegations against you. When you look at the mess that so many companies are in at the moment compared to Royal Mail , be glad you work for them and if not do your office a favour and leave cause you must be a right bundle of fun to work with .

Not splitting hairs Wolves posty . I've given you facts. You haven't. As for GLS . They are part of us. So whether one part makes a profit and another doesn't is irrelevant. It's based on the company as a whole, just like every other company is. You buy and sell shares based on a company as a whole not on one division . So up to now all you have done is moan , with no facts to back up what you are moaning about. When people have told you what to do about your grievances you chose to ignore the advice because it doesn't fit your agenda.

We have heard it year after year and at the end of it we then declare a 300 million profit. You never answered my question. When did we last make a loss ? No problems in my office , the crap workers that deserve the sack . Get sacked . The union members let it happen, because they are crap workers. Management and union work well together. Like I've said before your in a **** office and in the wrong job because all you ever do is moan. If your not happy about your weak management then go to your area manager. It's simple.

When did we last make a loss Wolves Posty. Don't blame the 20% in your office, blame your poor management, that are getting paid big bucks for not doing there job properly. If they were they would have sacked a number of the 20% and the rest would have towed the line. It's not difficult and happens in most offices.

I can only go on previous years data isleworth, our d2ds 3 to 4 per week compared to 1 to 2 at this time of year. Flats down , letters about normal. Parcels and packets at xmas levels and tracked 62 percent up. Specials about the same , some days up others down. Collections about normal (yorkes)apart from large number of extra covid tests . All tracked and extra revenue.

D2d levels in our office will be above average for the 3rd week running next week , which is a good sign as companies starting to advertise again. Not pizza ones either. Mail is starting to pick up , noticable by the later sorting finishes , and parcels still running at xmas levels. Only problem could be is if letters pick up too much ,will we manage to deliver all the parcels.

Wolves, if your telling someone to leave because they are unhappy, surely you would have gone by now. You dont seem to be happy about anything. As for losing 1 million a day. Its bull****. Royal Mail constantly put out misleading information to make the workers toe the line. They always have and always will. 3 years ago they said exactly the same, only to later reveal large profits . I think I'm right in saying that the only time Royal Mail has made a liss in the last 15-20 years was the year they were ment to pay us a bonus ,in some dodgy share in success type scheme that went from being worth about £900, one day to zero the next.

I can see very few companies paying a dividend for a while. Royal mail are one of the lucky ones, working through the pandemic. Apart from supermarkets, and food producers most companies have had no income or very little. Banks are going to have loads of bad debt , so Royal Mail looks a safe bet compared to most.

I doubt we make much more than 1p on a letter and I'm sure we make more than 7p on a parcel
